What I learnt:
When we confess our sins, God will always have mercy on us, so we should not be covering our sins so that we will prosper. As the Bible records in proverbs, Chapter 28, verse 18 that he that covers his sins shall not prosper, but he had confessed them. Shall have mercy, so God will have mercy on those that confess their sin. Our confession of sins should not be to the priest or to a pastor, but to God and to the person whom we sin against, because it is God that has the power of forgiving one sin. And then those that we sin against will also pray for us. As the Bible record in James Chapter 5, verse 16 says, confess your sins one for another and pray one for another that the effective Prayer of a righteous man availeth much. So our sins should be confessed to God and to the person whom we sin against. And then the person will pray for us, and God will have mercy on us. So if we see a brother sinning a sin that is not unto death, we should pray for a person so that God will have mercy on the person. The House of God is not a physical structure of blocks and wood, but the Church of God and the Bible records that God does not dwell in the temple built by man, but in the House of God, which is the Church of God, and our bodies is the temple of the Living God. If we are afflicted in one way or the other, we should not consider God to be wicked, but we should acknowledge our sins and confess them for God to have mercy on us.
Elijah was a man subject to like passion as we are. He prayed earnestly and there was no rain on the earth for 3 1/2 years and he prayed again to God and it rained because he was a righteous man. So God hate him so that when he prayed that there should be no rain, there was no rain on the earth. And when he prayed again that there should be rain, God sent rain. God heard his prayer because he was a righteous man. He walked upright, that is why when he prayed, God heard him in Isaiah Chapter 65 verse 24. Before they call, I will answer, and while they are yet speaking I will hear. So God has promised to hear us even before we called, and these are those that are doing his will. These are those that are upright before God. So we should always be alright before God and not to be dwelling in sin, so that whenever we pray, our prayers will be answered by God.
