I remember seeing door to door delivery of milk on tv and movies, but when I was born we lived at the edge of our small town, to my knowledge there was not a dairy nearby (Statesboro Ga had several, but they were 20+ miles away)
There were no plastic bottles, we had milk (from the stores) in waxed paper cartons, or from our cow (once we'd moved to the country) but that didn't last long. With both mama and daddy working away from the house, I was too small and young to care for a cow, though I do remember milking her a few times, and making real fresh butter in a crank churn (very labor intensive)
I would love it if all plastic containers went bye bye. It would mean the revival of the glass industry (more jobs) and the CLEANING of those containers for reuse (also more jobs) win win to me @thebigsweed

What's up my friend, I hope that you're settled in and laid back a little after the big move.
I've never milked a cow and would like to give it a go. I've heard there is a real technique to it. 

I also remember the wax paper cartoons. Either option is much better than glass.

Good Morning @thebigsweed, I don't think I'll be settled in until possibly 2 or 3 months have passed and I am aware of what my monthly bills settle out to be.
Laid Back? 🤓
Possibly never, PTSD has a way of interfering with that. I did get out in the yard yesterday for an hour or more, the sun was shining, it had warmed up enough that I could be out without a coat.
I repotted some plants,
