I grew up discussing the adage of Nigeria 

Solidarity and confidence; harmony and progress… 

Presently solidarity is compromised by our beliefs and accepts 

While harmony and progress have both gone to voice message. 

There was this delight I gotten from drawing 

Our Coat of Arm, encoding characteristic assets 

By concealing shield dark to symbolize our rich soil 

Which should be our favors however now, our most noteworthy revile. 

There was this fulfillment I got breathing in scents 

From the copious blooms that symbolized our magnificence 

Damn, we are perfect! in any case, those days are no more 

As far back as the shield broke and blooms started to shrink. 

There was this certainty I had while growing up 

I felt super verified in the pockets of two wings. 

Kindly did you see the Eagle that represented our quality? 

Not these destroyed powerless quills tumbling off from the top. 

There was this joy I gotten from gazing 

At our incredible Coat of Arm, I pined for to ride on 

The left and right steeds that symbolized our 

Pride and poise however now, the hankering is in the grave. 

I grew up appreciating the blemish on the shield 

Which symbolized two extraordinary streaming Rivers 

That met at an inside, that quite a long time ago held 

The extraordinary and forceful; Nigeria, until things self-destructed.
