**About Motor Racing-**
Flicking through the channels on my television set, I happened to glance at the sports channel which was broadcasting a Formula One race. To those unfamiliar with sports and racing, let me give you all a brief overview. The idea of motor car racing arose in the late 19th century, much about the same time as the invention of automobiles. By the 20th century, special racing cars were designed for the same purpose. There have been various forms of racing cars and different kinds of races held ever since, the most popular form being open car races among which Formula One races were the most popular.
The craze of such races diminished after the Second World War but gradually picked up speed again, as this sport gave the required adrenaline rush to contestants, and let us admit, who wouldn't have the fancy dream of driving a sports car that seemed like gliding in the air with the fluid motion of its engine. In an interview, a Formula One race driver speculated about his first time in a sports car as, 'the steering turning with the thoughts in his mind, and the car floating in nothingness like it was magic.'
*"As a child, I always wanted to be a race car pilot"*, says Ajith Kumar and all could agree that the phrase couldn't be better framed.
**Video Racing Industry-**
For those of us who aren't so lucky to live the childhood dream, technology had another option for us. Simulations. Video games for racing enthusiasts started flooding the market around mid-1900s, when the real world racing industry was at the peak. I have four brothers and I have seen them grow along with their PlayStations and Consoles and PCs, fighting like mad, trying to win the race like their life mattered on it. Upon asking one of them, he described car racing games as the license to drive a car before turning into an adult. He said that the thrill of winning, the kick he gets when competing, the sudden turns or changes in terrain, all sum up to a great experience.
He also claimed that these games helped him increase his reflexes and also helped him learn a vehicle in real life with much more ease. I researched and found studies that actually backed his claim. Statistics showed that children who were avid enthusiasts of car racing games were also better learners and better car drivers as they grew up. This made me wonder if the video racing games could be expanded and made into a platform that could simulate the senses better, by adapting to virtual reality, then that could actually help people in the real world.
**About Cryptocarz-**
My answer came as Cryptocarz, a blockchain platform that allowed its users to buy and customize their own cars in a multiplayer ecosystem. There would be 20 car models according to the top 20 cryptocurrencies prevalent in the market, each having an unique advantage of its own. Further changes and integration could be made into the cars by buying upgrades via ERC20 tokens. The entire ecosystem would be VR enabled to provide an extremely interactive and life like experience of racing.
