&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Hola, amigos de hive, hoy les dejaré la reseña de “Jim Botón y Lucas el maquinista”, libro infantil de Michael Ende, un autor que conozco desde que leí “Momo” y “La historia interminable”. 

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Como soy un lector apasionado de libros infantiles y porque escribo para niños y jóvenes, quiero comentar los recursos narrativos que utiliza el escritor para ir tejiendo la historia. Me encanta este libro porque tiene los tres atributos de toda redacción: claridad, sencillez y corrección, porque está cargado de símbolos y porque estimula inmensamente la imaginación.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;As I am a passionate reader of children's books and I write for children and young adults, I want to comment on the narrative resources the writer uses to weave the story. I love this book because it has the three attributes of all writing: clarity, simplicity and correctness, because it is loaded with symbols and because it greatly stimulates the imagination.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;En el centro del inmenso océano hay una isla y en esta isla hay un pueblo, un país solitario que solo necesita los habitantes que ya tiene, y al que un día llega un paquete misterioso. Este paquete es el primer recurso literario del autor para romper la monotonía del pueblo y para empezar a vislumbrar cosas, técnicamente es un desencadenante para ir desatando los hilos del conflicto.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Este paquete obligará a los habitantes a tomar decisiones, que al principio no modifican la tranquilidad del rey y de sus súbditos, pero más tarde el paquete se convierte en la causa de que, Lucas el maquinista decida irse con su locomotora a otro país, y esta decisión será la que llevará a Jim Botón a irse con Lucas.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;La llegada a un reino antiquísimo. Lo desconocido se presenta como un recurso útil para que los protagonistas conozcan otras culturas, otros valores, que les sirven para afianzar sus propias raíces, para extrañar lo que dejaron; sus costumbres, para decirnos que el ser humano es un animal de afectos.

Recurso literario muy explotado en todas las épocas, y como siempre, nadie se atreve a devolverle al reino ese tesoro, esa alegría, hasta que aparecen los menos esperados, en este caso, Jim Botón y Lucas el maquinista, quienes al principio experimentan una serie de peripecias que casi les cuesta la vida, pero son salvados por un niño de niños, un personaje muy pequeño y gracioso que impide una injusticia con estos extranjeros, de parte de alguien importante del reino. Con mucho humor narra Michael Ende esta parte de la novela, demostrando con este recurso, originalidad y maestría. 

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Aquí se decide el destino de Jim Botón y Lucas el maquinista, quienes se ofrecen para devolver a la princesa al emperador de China. He aquí verdadero conflicto de la trama: “necesitamos rescatar a la princesa de la ciudad de los dragones, pero cómo lo haremos si nadie sabe dónde queda”.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;En este segundo viaje deben enfrentar las más terribles dificultades, pero van encontrando la solución a sus obstáculos, unas veces por su tenaz empeño, en otras, con la presencia de personajes que van apareciendo como producto de sus propias desgracias, al conocer sus historias descubrimos por ejemplo, qué hace un gigante aparente viviendo solo en un desierto o un medio-dragón expulsado de la ciudad de los dragones, estos personajes los une el rechazo social, pero demuestran que tienen un  corazón más grande que lo que ellos están sufriendo, son dos personajes simbólicos que favorecen las acciones de los protagonistas.

Los invito a leer el libro para que se enteren de quién es la Sra. "Maldiente", Los 13 salvajes, cuál fue el verdadero premio para los héroes y por qué la princesa Li Si, la hija del emperador de China, es bastante cabezota.
