My Hive Goals for 2023 Week #4

I have decided to start posting a weekly update on my progress toward [my 2023 goals](https://leofinance.io/@jfang003/my-hive-goals-for-2023) here on [Hive](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-hive). It helps me stay on track and I can realize if I am behind on a goal at any point in time. If I am behind in any of my goals, it will allow me to make changes so I do accomplish them. 

## Progress

Above are statistics that I have gotten from [HiveStats](https://hivestats.io/). This week was a bit slower compared to the previous weeks but I was sick last week. I wasn't as active as I would be usually but I am better now. 

### HP

I got about the same as last week with 58 [HP](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-hive-power-hp) earned throughout the week. This is less than last week but I should be fine considering how my first three weeks went. There is some buffer but I prefer to do more than what I need per week. My curation return is still 13 HP so none of this really changed that much. My goal for curation is to just make sure that my [voting power](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-voting-power-hive) is never full. Unfortunately last week, there were times when my VP did overfill but there wasn't much I could do about the busy week. 

### HBD

I have added 22 [HBD](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-hive-backed-dollar-hbd) to my savings to get closer to my goal. It will compound with the rest of my HBD in my savings right now for the 20% APR. As I get closer to my HBD goal, I will stop adding as much to this goal and start using it for HP or LEO Power if I am behind. I am well on track towards this goal and the increase in price of hive only helps me on this end. I was also able to collect my interest and it was 23.361 HBD earned from the savings interest. With the price of Hive going up, getting HBD is easier even if I have not been as active as I was in the previous few weeks. 

### LEO Power

My LEO balance has gone up by 43 over the past week and this is lower than I expected but with the LEO I bought last week, I should be fine towards my own goals. There is still over 2 weeks left until the next LPUD and I will be able to stake my LEO then.

It's been a week since my last update and I am liking my progress so far. While my HP hasn't gone up as much as I would like, I am still on track to my own goals. With the first month almost over, I am close to 10% of the way there and my HBD goal is a lot closer than I expected. So with this, the difference in what I need towards my goals isn't that large and I should be able to reach them so long as I am consistent.

Your progress looks consistent and stable helping you to know what to expect at least to some extent. I am also looking at rebuilding my HBD stack seeing I have been spending form it lately.
