## En Paraguay estamos viviendo una de las semanas más frías del año, generalmente no dura más que eso, hoy ya estamos teniendo un día completo de lluvias y mucho frío,  cuando hablo de mucho frío estoy hablando de aproximadamente 10° que para otras regiones no es nada.

> ## In Paraguay, we're experiencing one of the coldest weeks of the year. It usually doesn't last longer than that. Today we're already experiencing a full day of rain and extreme cold. When I say extreme cold, I'm talking about approximately 10°C, which is nothing for other regions.


#### Cuando aquí se presenta el frío es todo muy novedoso, nos preparamos para desempacar la ropa de invierno y entre que lo hacemos ya comienza a menguar el frío nuevamente. Yo hace nueve años que estoy viviendo aquí en Paraguay y durante toda mi vida antes de esto he vivido en Buenos Aires Argentina, y así el invierno es mucho más largo y por supuesto, mucho más frío. En Buenos Aires el viento frío y húmedo te hace doler la nariz y las orejas mientras que aquí el frío me motiva a disfrutarlo y hasta salir a caminar o correr en alguna plaza. 

> #### When the cold weather hits here, it's all very new. We get ready to unpack our winter clothes, and while we're doing so, the cold begins to subside again. I've been living here in Paraguay for nine years, and all my life before that, I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and so the winter is much longer and, of course, much colder. In Buenos Aires, the cold, damp wind makes your nose and ears hurt, while here, the cold motivates me to enjoy it and even go for a walk or run in a plaza.

#### Mientras escribo estas líneas, recuerdo los primeros meses que iniciamos nuestra vida aquí, casi durante un año me pasaba el día con una toalla en el cuello ya que transpiraba, sudaba la mayor parte del día, mi cara estaba mojada la mayor parte del tiempo, poco a poco mi cuerpo se fue acostumbrando y hoy sentir ese calor abrazador del verano ya es normal.

> #### As I write these lines, I remember the first months we started living here. For almost a year, I spent the day with a towel around my neck because I was sweating, I sweated most of the time, my face was wet most of the time. Little by little, my body got used to it, and now feeling that scorching summer heat is normal.

#### Hoy por la mañana estábamos en un promedio de esa temperatura sumada a la lluvia, y muchos compañeros no se hicieron presentes en la oficina ya que prefirieron trabajar desde su casa o seguir calentitos bajo la frazada, muchos otros mostraban su Look de invierno, con pantuflas, pantalón largo y mucho abrigo, bufandas y gorros de lana, de allí es que nacen estas fotos que comparto, nosotros tres: mi esposa @egonz y una compañera mostrábamos que realmente no hacía tanto frío como muchos manifestaban.

> #### This morning, we were averaging that temperature, along with the rain, and many colleagues weren't in the office, preferring to work from home or stay warm under a blanket. Many others showed off their winter looks, with slippers, long pants, and lots of coats, scarves, and wool hats. That's where these photos I'm sharing came from. The three of us: my wife @egonz and a colleague, showed that it really wasn't as cold as many claimed.

#### Esto también me hizo recordar la época es que tenía que viajar más de 35 km hacia mi trabajo en capital Federal, y lo hacía en moto, en algunas ocasiones regresaba a casa pasada a la una de la mañana y en invierno era muy común tener doble media, doble guante, hasta tres pantalones, doble campera y pasamontañas debajo del casco ya que el frío penetraba donde menos esperaba, hoy recuerdo esas noches o esas mañanas de frío extremo donde al salir pisaba el pasto y se escuchaba crujiente ya que estaba congelado por la helada que había caído la noche anterior. Otro recuerdo mucho más extremo fue cuando a mediados del 2012 aproximadamente (no recuerdo bien) había nevado en Buenos Aires, fue una locura.


> #### This also reminded me of the time I had to travel more than 35 km to work in the Federal Capital, and I did it by motorcycle. Sometimes I returned home after 1:00 a.m., and in winter it was very common to wear double socks, double gloves, even three pairs of pants, a double jacket, and a balaclava under my helmet, since the cold penetrated where I least expected it. Today I remember those nights or those mornings of extreme cold where, upon stepping outside, I would step on the grass and it would sound crunchy because it was frozen from the frost that had fallen the night before. Another, much more extreme memory was when it snowed in Buenos Aires around mid-2012 (I don't remember exactly). It was crazy.

#### En fin, yo siempre fui partidario que el frío es la mejor temperatura para trabajar ya que es muy fácil calentar el cuerpo, pero enfriar el cuerpo creo que únicamente con una ducha de agua fría o teniendo un aire acondicionado frente, es por eso que elijo las temperaturas más bajas para trabajar ¿y tú cuál eliges?.

> #### Anyway, I was always a believer that cold is the best temperature for working since it's very easy to heat up the body, but I think cooling it down is only with a cold shower or having an air conditioner in front of you. That's why I choose the lowest temperatures for working. And you, which do you choose?
