Un granny es una pieza tejida que tiene la forma de cuadrado. En esta publicación les muestro cómo a partir de un espiral llego a un cuadrado, formando un hermoso granny.

Se estila tejer varios grannies para obtener un resultado mayor. Por ejemplo, son usados para hacer bolsos, carteras, mantas, cardigan, muñecos, entre otros.

Son maravillosos de tejer, ya que por lo general se usan diferentes colores de hilos, lo cual permite estar en una constante combinación de colores.

A granny is a woven piece that has the shape of a square. In this publication I show you how from a spiral I get to a square, forming a beautiful granny.

Esta publicación es muy especial, siempre me han gustado los grannies y además me ha inspirado @kattycrochet, ya que ella nos ha compartido en sus publicaciones muchos patrones de grannies y ha compartido proyectos a partir de ellos. 

Este granny que les comparto estaba en mi lista de deseos y lo he tejido en cuatro colores en hilo tipo algodón.

# Comenzando con un espiral 
Este granny se inicia con un anillo mágico, y sobre este anillo se van a tejer los cuatro colores. El reto de este proyecto es que se teje con todos los hilos al mismo tiempo.

Es emocionante ver cómo es el inicio, es fácil, solo se deben evitar que los hilos se enreden, como les mencioné ese es reto del proyecto.

Seguidamente se comenzó al formar el espiral, tejiendo en cada color, y mientras se teje en un color los otros permanecen en reposo.

Me encanta la perfección y este trabajo no escapa de ello, jugar con los colores y los hilos y volcando este resultado me deja conmovida.

Logran ver cómo se va formando el espiral, si observan por ejemplo lo tejido en color amarillo en la imagen a continuación, podrán ver el efecto de espiral. En esta parte ya se comienza a preparar el tejido para volverse un cuadrado.

# De espiral a cuadrado

Como el resultado de esta pieza tejida será un granny, necesariamente debe quedar cuadrada; es por ello, que con algunas puntadas mágicas se van formando las esquinas del granny.

Y con las puntadas adecuadas en la técnica crochet en este caso se ha formado un granny partiendo de un espiral para convertirse en un cuadrado perfecto y muy colorido.

El resultado de este granny lo usaré como un posa vaso para mi escritorio, ya que me estaba haciendo falta, siempre el vaso de agua o jugo que están frío  dejan gotas de agua, lo cual no me gusta, con este posa vaso evitaré esa situación. 

Así que un granny puede solucionar algunas situaciones, también sirven de decoración o para ser parte de proyectos más grandes.
