Hablar de mascotas, es hablar de compañía, fidelidad, entrega, respeto, empatía, amistad y mucho más; y cuando se trata de los caninos, los perros, las cualidades se superan, los perros son mascotas especiales, tienen tantas formas en como comunican lo que quieren, que asombra tanta habilidad.

Algunos se preguntarán por qué hoy no estoy hablando de tejido, y la razón, es que quise compartir la experiencia familiar cómo de como una mascota se convirtió en el apoyo terapéutico de mi hermana en un proceso de salud crónico. Tener la oportunidad de compartir con una mascota es poder desviar el stress y disfrutar de una compañía sin juicios y con absoluta fidelidad. Pienso que las mascotas rescatan a las personas de situaciones y funcionan de un gran apoyo para seres humanos con discapacidades.

Ninoska, mi hermana, la mayor de cinco hermanos, de profesión, cirujano oncólogo, con nivel de exigencia extremos y conocimientos invaluables, mística en todo lo que ejecutaba, dominio pleno de sus destrezas, amante de sus pacientes y de su bienestar. Para mí, la mejor en su profesión. Trabajaba muchas horas diarias, siempre estaba activa, estudiando, aprendiendo, perfeccionando técnicas, enseñando, entre otros. Su vida: Sus pacientes. En el mejor momento de su carrera como médico, se enferma, adquiere una enfermedad, que la obliga a salir de los quirófanos y de todo centro médico, deja de ejercer su pasión, ser cirujano y con ello salvar vidas.
Su vida cambió drásticamente de ser una persona super activa, dueña absoluta de los quirófanos, jefe de la emergencia, en sus guardias como jefe, no había descanso, no se dormía. le insistía a sus alumnos, "*estamos de guardia, debemos preservar la vida de quienes nos necesitan*, los pacientes". Ese cambio tan drástico, involucró diversos cambios familiares.

**¿Cómo llegó a casa una mascota terapéutica?**
Ninoska, era la encarnación de la perfección y el orden, con la habilidad innata de controlar todo a su alrededor. Como médico siempre velaba por el bienestar de su entorno, sus familiares, no eran la excepción. se dio cuenta que el exceso de control, nos estaba afectando, que debía buscar la manera de drenar el stress. -Con certificado pedigree.
Luego de una búsqueda incansable, llegó el gran día para la búsqueda del canino de raza Bichón Maltes.

**Y comenzó la aventura de una maravillosa terapia canina**
La llegada de Ramses, no tenía que envidiarle nada al nacimiento de un bebé. Ranses le llamó, la selección del nombre incluyó un gran estudio, hasta a una encuesta fue sometida la selección, quedando seleccionado Ranses como nombre.
Se hicieron los preparativos para la llegada de Ranses, su cama de dormir, mi mamá elaboró cobijas de varios colores y la toalla. Ninoska se convirtió en la propia mamá primeriza que se prepara para la llegada de un ser especial sobre el cual volcará toda su atención. También le compraron sus medicinas y ubicaron al veterinario que lo iba a atender y llevaría el control de las vacunas.
Llegó Ranses, una preciosura de mascota, blanco como la nieve y juguetón. Todos estábamos felices de ver a mi hermana contenta con su mascota. Y así comenzaron los días, entre juegos, entrenamientos, educación, tenían una rutina diaria que afianzó una estrecha y valiosa relación.
Me impresionaba, verla tan integrada con Ranses, a tal punto de colocarlo en sus piernas, peinarlo y acariciarlo. Ranses encantado de que su dueña lo mime.
Esta relación de Ninoska Y Ranses hizo que ella estuviera distraída en su mascota canina, lo cual la llevo a controlar el estrés y la ansiedad.
