Happy Saturday! I hope you are having a time this weekend. 

A good weekend for me is a day away from the responsibilities of work and the faces of people. I get exhausted from everyday grinding and the hustle that I do on the side such as blogging and doing digital art. 

Do not get me wrong, though. I love what I do but sometimes, I need a day away from the screen. I actually love the "good stress". Every time I see the fruits of my hard work, I get more motivated. Of course, I am a human too and I got burned out and mentally drained once in a while. 

Is it not refreshing to be out of your schedule just for a while? A day off won't hurt your schedule, I promise you!

Saturdays are usually my time to take extra sleep or just do things that I cannot do during weekdays. This time, we were off on an adventure! We went hiking and sightseeing. We do not have a concrete plan, actually. We were just spontaneous for the day. We just thought of getting fresh air in our lungs, a breeze that somehow can clean our headspaces.

Look at this mindblowing view! I had not seen a view like this in a while. From where I was standing, I can see the shimmering, cobalt sea. I can see the horizon separating the haze of clouds and the sea. My eyes were so glued to the scene I forgot that my skin is burning from the scorching sun!

On the opposite of the view, there were farmlands owned by the locals. Interesting that they were not fenced. I assume people here know one another and trust each other. Most of the crops were sweet potato and peanuts. I also made a blog about a lady who sold some of her sweet potatoes to us. The scorching sun was at its peak when I was taking these pictures. Drops of sweat run through my back. I can feel the trickling of the sweat as I move from point to point. I do not really mind though as long I get the best shot. Hey, it is rare to see a view like this so it is worth the little sacrifice.

It was just us who were here at this time of the day so, I had the chance to take pictures without the blockings of people, haha! Kidding. They said that most people, especially couples, go here when the sun is about to set. It would be nice to see the orange clouds with a hint of blush pink. Too bad we intended to just spend half the day.

To keep the place clean, the officials of the municipality put trash bins to put the plastic water bottles, wrappers, etc. in one place. The trashes were separated into four, bottles only, biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable. A for the effort! 

People are disciplined in keeping this place green and tidy. There were some pieces of candy wrappers around, but still tolerable. After all, this is for the community.

I took a break from taking pictures and just enjoyed the view for a minute. Actually there were three steel benches on the edge. 

It was scary at first but I got used to it. I thought the bench is hot but turned out to be cold, hmmm, weird.


Probably because of the breeze? My sister took a picture of me while I gaze at the blue ocean.

Took pictures too of the plants I saw that day. This pink fuzzy flower caught my eye. It was so easy to shift my eyes to this flower because the color was so vibrant it popped among the green leaves. I wonder what is the name of this plant. I hope someone here knows. 

On the other hand, I alway see this kind of grass, or probably a kind of tall flower too. I always see this in mountains and fields. It seemed like a fuzzy sausage to me, lol. I took one just to take a closer look at it. I actually put it on my pencil organizer for as a decor.

Also, I find satisfying how these rocks were laid. It is somehow like a rock art. People can seat on these too while they enjoy the sunset in the afternoon. 
On the left picture, the wood frame is I assume is where they hang notices such as incoming events or just random announcements.

# Conclusion

We spent around one hour filling our lungs with the mountain fresh air. We need to clean our headspaces once in a while. Just pause and drop those works for a minute. I truly enjoy a weekend away from the chaotic "real" world and packed schedule. Surely this is not the last. Next time, we will back to see the orange sunset.
