Proposed Changes and Custom Allocation
[Propose Steem changes](https://steemit.com/steem/@steemitblog/proposed-changes-to-steem-economy) post and and mainly the discussion below this post is very interesting. It seems that quite everyone welcomes inflation fix and better liquidity for SP (although even there were some who disagreed).

But it also seems that many have different view on how newly created Steems (actual system inflation) should be allocated. The proposal suggests this distribution:

### Original allocation proposal
* Allocate 75% of the created Steem to the Reward Fund.
* Allocate 15% of the created Steem to the Vesting Fund as interest on Steem Power.
* Allocate 10% of the created Steem to the Witnesses.

Many people think another distribution will be better and I assume it is based on where they see their role in Steemit ecosystem. And so why not to introduce roles so everyone can customize own account to use the individual allocatin preferences then? **Custom Allocation** feature I call **Steemit Roles** as there is some analogy with RPG roles where you choose what your strong side will be in the game. Let's take a look at it.

## Steemit Roles aka Custom Allocation
The idea is that each user would be able to set status once per month to certain settings and global settings would be calculated based on user SP holding. For easier implementation and calculation it would be handy if setting is always valid for all calendar month and can be changed only from month to month, means next setting will be valid for next month. Based on this settings author and curator reward will be calculated, as same as witness reward and SP interest. It would mean if you choose investor role, your curation and author share and rewards will be relatively much lower than if your role is Author. But your investment will suffer lowest possible inflation (only 1% based on my suggestion). On the other hand if you select Author/Curator role, your author and curation rewards will be boosted but you'll suffer greater SP inflation. Or you will be able to select balanced distribution. It will be entirely up to you.

## Roles
There is some suggestion how allocation can be set for them:

#### Investor
I am a long-term investor, there are my money for Steemit growth but I am mainly focused on my investment and Steem value
* Allocate 5% of the created Steem to the Reward Fund.
* Allocate 90% of the created Steem to the Vesting Fund as interest on Steem Power.
* Allocate 5% of the created Steem to the Witnesses.

#### Author/Curator
(this could be even split to three different roles Author, Curator and ACurator :))
I am author/curator and I'm focused on creating/curating great content and want to boost author/curation rewards with my SP
* Allocate 90% of the created Stem to the Reward Fund.
* Allocate 5% of the created Steem to the Vesting Fund as interest on Steem Power.
* Allocate 5% of the created Steem to the Witnesses.

#### Witness
I'm a witness and I'm focused on this and related reward
* Allocate 5% of the created Steem to the Reward Fund.
* Allocate 5% of the created Steem to the Vesting Fund as interest on Steem Power.
* Allocate 90% of the created Steem to the Witnesses.

#### Equal
I express the same focus on all Steem sides and want to support all sides equally with my SP
* Allocate 33.3% of the created Steem to the Reward Fund.
* Allocate 33.4% of the created Steem to the Vesting Fund as interest on Steem Power.
* Allocate 33.3% of the created Steem to the Witnesses.

#### Default - the original proposal
I'm completely OK with the original proposal allocation, that's exactly how I like the distribution
* Allocate 75% of the created Steem to the Reward Fund.
* Allocate 15% of the created Steem to the Vesting Fund as interest on Steem Power.
* Allocate 10% of the created Steem to the Witnesses.

## Possible advantages
I believe this could make many people happy and because they will be able to influence how new STEEM should be allocated and they will be rewarded according to that.

What do you think? Like this everyone should be happy and also it would be obvious what is the major focus for each user at the moment. I believe it can attract more new people of all these groups into Steem/it.

Disclaimer: Take it as as a general proposal and please and don't try to find trifles. And yes, it could be also completely customizable (you could able create and set your own allocation) but like this it could be much more fun and would be more readable what is the roles distribution across all Steemit at the moment. Implementation details and tweaks is what developers and people with deep Steem knowledge should discuss. I'm mainly interested if you appreciated this concept or not. And if not, why not?

You can also vote below and thanks for your participation. I think it's quite important because we all want to see Steemit great and full of people with real interest.
