Now that you’ve got a business name (part 1), it’s time to set up your website. You’ll want to get this right the right the first time, else you’ll have to go through the hassle of fixing your online asset further down the road. Believe me, that’s a lot more hassle than it sounds right now and NOT where you want to be!

You’ll also want to focus on a URL that is open, not limiting. URLs and domains are getting tricky as more and more people get them, but the usual rules here apply. Don’t be weird with the names, keep it short, sweet, and simple, and be relevant. 

You’ll also want to ensure that your hosting provider isn’t going to limit you; trust me, there’s nothing worse than having an expanding business get snipped short because of some small print about bandwidth or exceeding your limits. Be in control, know what you’re getting.

At the same time, you’ll want to make sure that your website is set up for maximum success for SEO by not using tech like Flash, or not having a mobile responsive website. It’s best to use a popular technology that’s easy to optimize and open to SEO. WordPress is a great, solid choice. 

You could go for multiple sites, but let’s be honest here: do you have the resources to make full sites for each of these domains? Can you run a business efficiently with this? Is it honest to customers to show multiple business websites when you are just one business?
