Sometimes when new tech comes out, it feels like the future has finally arrived. Chatbots is a great example. It’s not quite flying cars, but when it comes to lightening the sometimes heavy load of the average internet market, they really are a gift from above.

So, if you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know what a chatbot is, here’s the lowdown: they are basically computer programs that mimic people when it comes to conversation. You may have already used one without even realizing it – such as the last time you got some help from a sprawling company like Amazon or Microsoft.

The tech is now pretty sophisticated and has good AI – it’s really amazing to watch some in action as you would never know that they weren’t human. Now that Facebook has allowed chatbots onto its app, they just got even more popular.

Think about it: you have a FB page, yet for the 8 – 12 hours you’re sleeping (I hope you get a good night’s sleep – it’s important!), your business is in limbo as are your waiting customers and their queries. With a chatbot, you have a 24/7 buddy who can help them out, convert them and even make the sale. 

That’s just one way you can use chatbots, but it really doesn’t stop there. How about a customer service bot to quickly handle complaints, or analytical bots that can take a conversation and actions and give you a detailed analysis that lets you tighten your sales funnel?

These are just a few examples of what a chatbot can do to grow your business while lightening your workload. It’s time to make the change and get a chatbot (or five…)
