As the weeks go by and things continue to spiral into absolute moral decay, I found a recurring theme that it constantly bombarding those who rely upon the mainstream media for their daily propaganda.
As an avid reader and one who went down the rabbit hole a few years back, I've always been a fan of George Orwell, Aldous Huxley and other dystopian writers. Orwell's novel, 1984, has been one that has been on my mind for the past few months. The protagonist, Winston Smith, could be the modern day individual, who is becoming more and more of a minority against the masses and is questioning the morality and values of the current society. He himself has witnessed the past being erased or blatantly ignored, in favor of appealing to falsehoods that trigger the emotions of the masses.
Since the election of Donald Trump, it is incredibly obvious that the Mainstream media was weaponized by the Democrats and lifelong bureaucrats to slander and discredit the newly elected president. Falsehoods and flat out lies are being reported under the cloak of anonymous sources. One theme from 1984 that has played out before our eyes is 2+2=5. When Winston is being tortured by O'Brien, he makes him recite that mathematical problem over and over again until it is the only solution he knows. Obviously, 2+2=4. The power of brainwashing and propaganda is alarmingly evident. The mainstream media broadcasts these stories, i.e Russian influence, at a constant and suffocating rate. There has been no hard or credible evidence proving any of their stories, with speculation and bold faced lies being reported as "news".
If ten years go, someone said that i would stop watching television, i would have said they were full of it. But with the amount of garbage and lies being shoved down the throats of the masses, it is just not tolerable. Turning of the TV is probably the best option for everyone. But then again, an individual has the right of choice.....
