**H**ello friends of Black and White... One thing that I have very close to hand, and that I like to photograph very often, are some very old houses which are still standing in the streets of my village. 

>Hola amigos de Blanco y Negro... Una cosa que tengo muy a la mano, y que me gusta fotografiar con mucha frecuencia, son algunas casonas muy viejas las cuales  aún permanecen en pie en las calles de mi pueblo.

The condition of these houses is in many cases precarious, a few are better preserved. But in whatever way, there is always something attractive to record in a photo when I look at these old buildings. 

>El estado de estas casas es en muchos casos precario, algunas pocas están mejor conservadas. Pero de la manera que sea, siempre hay algo atractivo para registrar en una foto cuando observo estas antiguas edificaciones.

The best days to walk the streets of the village and take photos of these houses are Saturdays and Sundays, when the village is relatively quiet and there are very few vehicles parked on the streets. Obviously, the early hours of the morning are the best, because the light is quite dim and the details and textures of these old façades can be recorded very well. 

>Los mejores días para recorrer las calles del pueblo y hacer fotos de estas casas, son los Sábados y Domingos, cuando el pueblo está relativamente silencioso y hay muy pocos vehículos aparcados en las calles. Obviamente, las primeras horas de la mañana son las más indicadas, porque la luz es bastante tenue y permite registrar muy bien los detalles y las texturas de esas viejas fachadas.

These houses represent the history of the village in some way. And for me, who was born and raised here, they represent a lot of memories related to my half century of life. Many of these houses were inhabited and beautiful when I was a little boy, so I can perfectly evoke those days when I pass by and see these old houses.  

>Estas casa representan la historia del pueblo de alguna manera. Y para mi, que he nacido y crecido aquí, representan un montón de recuerdos relacionado con mi medio siglo de vida. Muchas de estas casas estaban habitadas y eran hermosas cuando yo era un niño pequeño, entonces puedo evocar perfectamente aquellos días cuando paso y veo estas antiguas casas.

This was such a small village 40 years ago, that I can remember visiting all these houses hand in hand with my maternal grandmother, because here all the neighbours knew each other and it was a custom to visit each other frequently, as well as to bring gifts out of custom and courtesy. It was like living in a very old village, reminiscent of colonial times. All that has changed a lot now.

>Este era un pueblo tan pequeño 40 años atrás, que puedo recordar haber visitado todas estas casa de la mano de mi abuela materna, porque aquí todos los vecinos se conocían y era una costumbre visitarse recíprocamente con frecuencia, así como llevar obsequios por costumbres y cortesía. Era como vivir en un pueblo muy añejo, con reminiscencias de la época de la colonia. Todo eso ha cambiado mucho ahora.

Anyway, times have changed, but the memories are still there, as if "floating" in all this... Perhaps many of these houses do not have much time left standing, time does not pass in vain and many of the heir owners no longer want to continue spending on their care. I am particularly glad to have seen them in their splendour and to be able to photograph them now.... That is part of my memories and they will surely go with me one day. 

>En fin, los tiempos han cambiado, pero los recuerdos siguen allí, como "flotando" en todo esto... Quizás a muchas de estas casas ya no les quede mucho tiempo en pie, el tiempo no pasa en vano y muchos de los dueños herederos ya no quieren seguir gastando en su cuidado. Yo particularmente me alegro de haberlas visto en su esplendor y de poder fotografiarlas ahora... Eso forma parte de mis memorias y seguramente se irán conmigo algún día.

So this was my entry to today's #monomad challenge and it has perhaps quite a few photos but also quite a few romantic musings about it....
