For the 29 moons (*or at least that's what SteemD.com says about my accounts age*) never once have I ever considered to initiate a powerdown... until today. 

I admit I don't know much about crypto or blockchain nor the underlying technology or potential about the Steem blockchain, but I once believed this blockchain has the potential to go big and even replace other Social Medias (*cause where can you see a platform that REWARDS YOU just by publishing your thoughts, ideas or even personal rants about random stuffs*). 

That's why for the first year that I have been on this blockchain, I have put all my blog rewards from posting "Anime and Manga" reviews, my "Gaming", "CTF" tutorials,etc... Most if not all of my rewards went to increasing my stake here. 

Last year (*or my second year in here*), I started to change my strategy and started to cash out my LIQUID REWARDS. I started to believe that Steem would never replace other Social Media apps because the content in here is "heavily-Steem" oriented. 

Still I have some hopes in it because of developers (*most if not all are witnesses*) who continue to develop and improve their interesting apps on top of the blockchain. They are what I think makes this blockchain "**real**" and thrive. (I mean, I honestly wouldn't be here anymore if not for "SteemMonsters" and I think I'm not the only one here who feels that way. XD)  

But with what happened last night, starting with the guy who forcefully used some big exchanges (*using other people's Steem on it*) to takeover the top 20 witnesses probably in response or retaliation to what the past top witnesses did (SoftFork), to the past top witnesses response by shutting down their apps or tools in retaliation to what Steemit Inc did, to the resignation of 2 Steemit Inc Employees, I really feel that this is the start of the end of Steem. 

Not to mention the proposed shortening of powerdown from 13 weeks to 1-3 days (?). 

Why??????????
