Learning to Change Colors

Today I spent time trying to learn some of the features of my embroidery machine. I bought a set of embroidery thread from Amazon. Depending on the manufacturer, they have numbers associated with colors that are unique to that manufacturer.

In my embroidery machine, the numbers are coded to Brother thread. I was trying to find out how to decode the brother thread and compare it with the thread that I purchased.

I chose a simple design that I liked and I changed the thread colors to match the thread that I purchased instead of the thread that came with the design.

I came pretty close, but I still don’t have it totally decoded yet. I embroidered the phrase crafty woman on a piece of scrap fabric. I think that I am going to make another sewing machine cover with this scrap fabric. I have to find another piece of fabric for the rest of the cover since I don’t have enough to totally cover a sewing machine. The other piece doesn’t have to be the same color, it just has to coordinate.
