Trying Out New Things

I want to try out most of the apps that are on the Steem blockchain. I already know that I will not be playing Monster games. I am not a gamer nor a gambler so that is out. I use Esteem on my smartphone but I have never used the desktop version. I decided to try out the desktop version on my Surface Pro 6 which is another new device that I bought recently and don't know how to fully use.

My laptop was so old, big and heavy and slow that I didn't like to travel with it anymore, so I upgraded to the Surface. It's really cool but I haven't figured out all of its features yet. My teenage granddaughter is a burgeoning artist and I know that when she comes to town for the Christmas holiday break that she will want to draw on my Surface. I decided to try to figure it out first so that I can tell her what to do and what not to do. Children will take over your things, change your settings, and leave you trying to figure out what happened long after they are gone. Here is my first experiment.

I can use the whiteboard to draw or to take notes. I found out that I can save my efforts as a document as well. I have a long way to go with a new camera, trying to figure out how to knit socks, and how I can replace the use of my laptop with my new Surface. This will not be a short journey but I do feel that I will get help over the holidays.
