Steemit Community: What Kind of Software Would You Like Me to Create for You? (Free - No Strings)

<p>I want to contribute a software program to the Steemit Community to help members keep track of financials and post performance, etc.., and YOU decide what else.</p>
<p>The above screenshot is a demo of a software me and my team created for keeping track of and analyzing City Revenue. The screenshots in this post are just examples of what kind of software I can create.</p>
<h2>My question for you, the Steemit Community, is...</h2>
<h1>What Part of the Steemit Experience Do YOU Wish You Could Keep Track of and Analyze That You Currently Can't?</h1>
<h3>Personally, for example, after going through the process of getting Steem$ into my bank account as local currency...</h3>
<p>I wish I had a way to keep track of all the exchange fees and transfer/conversion rates, collectively with a single overview, and for each time I withdraw.</p>
<p>But as it is more common with Steemit to "Power Up" (based on what I've read - I haven't been a member long enough to do it yet)...</p>
<p><strong>...What else would be beneficial for you to keep track of? Anything related to powering up or down?</strong></p>
<p><strong>The Reason I'm Asking Is...</strong></p>
<h2><strong>I want to contribute a software program, completely free with no strings, no ads, and no popups begging you for donations...&nbsp;</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Just a clean software program you can use that will help you.</strong></h3>
<h1><strong>And within the limits and features of the framework I work with, YOU decide what that software will be.</strong></h1>
<p><strong>So, here are a few key features of the software that I'm working with and that should give you an idea about what is possible.</strong></p>
<h3><strong>1. This is database software that runs on computers running the Microsoft Windows Operating System. (although it is not Mac/Linux compatible, even if you don't use a virtual machine, you can still run this using something else you can get for free that I'll post about soon).</strong></h3>
<p><strong>2. I can provide you with the means to keep track of all your post performance, revenue earnings in Steem$ and Steem Power, per post - &nbsp;including "Key Performance Indicators" (KPI) that you set to track and compare the earning performance of each post you publish.</strong></p>
<p>3. You can set and keep track of scheduled posts.</p>
<p><strong>4. You can run analysis charts on data you collect about your post performance, and/or your Steem transactions (Steem$ to your local currency, Steem$ interest earnings, Steem Power, etc..,)</strong></p>
<h2><strong>Here is a screenshot based on the demo software aforementioned that shows analysis charts. It allows you to look at the data any way you like.</strong></h2>

I think it would be incredibly useful if you created a software that acted as a reference for Markdown and HTML so that people could use it to look up certain things they wanted to do on their posts.

I find the biggest problem I have on SteemIt is using the editor and getting the post to look just the way I want it to.

Maybe you could even create a desktop editor that people could open and create their SteemIt posts in, and then copy and past that right into the SteemIt editor.

It would save loads of time that gets wasted because people have to look up how to do simple things like center images, make words bold, italic, and underlined, and change font size, etc.

I think that would be big.  A nice small desktop application that you could simply click, open up, write your post in, and then hit a button to copy it all to the clipboard.  Then it would simply be a matter of pasting into the SteemIt editor, adding tags, and posting.

You could even add a feature that would analyze the post and come up with the most popular tags on SteemIt that fit the content.

For Markdown, I think you should check out [Markdown Pad](http://markdownpad.com/). I just saw it while researching about this, downloaded it, and it is really easy to use. You write as you normally would and then just highlight whatever text you want and click - bold, italic, or what-have-you - and the editor automatically wraps what you highlight with the correct Markdown syntax, and you can see a live preview in the right pane.

It handles images and everything else like that. Super easy, and then you can copy/paste that into the Steemit post editor. With images, it asks for the image url, so that gets included when you copy/paste . The only thing I noticed that it does not handle are videos.

I read your post. That is odd. :) And that's exactly what I'm thinking is needed here, because how can you really tell what makes a post successful unless you can collect data from all your posts and do some comparative analysis? The time you post, the length of the post, the number of photos used, etc.., likely matter, and probably matter quite a bit. Using the software for organization and analysis isn't a challenge, but how to grab all of that information...you reminded me of something I need to look into. It might be possible with a tool that exists online. I'll check into it soon. Thanks for commenting. :)

Good idea, but we're not WordPress developers. We build database software that uses the  .Net Framework, basically allowing you to keep track of personal data offline, stored in a database on your computer, and  editable and viewable using tools like in the screenshots I posted above.

I was just thinking about this today ,but what about a way for people to be able to post to SteemIt from a website and have it arrive on SteemIt?  So if I have a link I want to share on a forum about  Gardening people can pop in and fill out the form the submissions ( upon approval of course ) could arrive for me , under my account. Just an idea.

That is a really good idea. This type of software can't do that, but that is something Zapier could handle. They do relays (triggers) that when an event occurs, such as what you described, the data gets sent or relayed somewhere else. The thing with Zapier though is that a lot of people have to request a  specific "zap" for Steemit before they will put something together. But it can be done for sure. Maybe we should all hit Zapier's request page for some Steemit integrations. :)

Nice! never heard of Zapier I'll check it out. Yes, I think this could spur adoption if people who have the rep. in their accounts already can be come subject matter experts and share ( if the person so chooses ) the SBD earned from the post.  Also, I see what you are saying the request  for a "zap" has to happen first. Got it! I'll check this out and thanks for the reply back :)
