Todos esperábamos la nueva temporada de la serie El Juego del Calamar, serie que nos dejó a todos una muy buena experiencia en su primera temporada, mezclando un poco de terror y sangre a juegos inocentes de niños. Sin dudas esta mezcla dentro de una trama correcta y crítica con la sociedad nos otorgó una de las series que recordaremos por mucho tiempo, sin embargo, tener una segunda parte no siempre termina bien, de hecho, normalmente las historias sobreexplotadas terminan en decepción, ¿pasará lo mismo con Squid Game 2? Seamos sinceros, desde un punto de vista argumental, es algo difícil retomar la esencia de la primera temporada, ahora los guionistas tienen el reto principal de colocar nuevamente al protagonista en el juego, además, está la muy difícil tarea de crear personajes tan memorables como en la primera temporada, al mismo tiempo esta producción debe ganar dinero y tener la posibilidad de ampliar este universo, así que la tarea no es sencilla.

Al observar esta nueva temporada de Squid Game, notamos inmediatamente que la serie se toma su tiempo para argumentar la entrada nuevamente de Gi-hun (456) en los misteriosos y sangrientos juegos, por lo que ya desde los primeros episodios sabemos que la historia continuará en otra temporada más que posiblemente tengamos este mismo año. 


Ahora la línea argumental cambia un poco en relación con la temporada pasada, ya conocemos los juegos, por lo que sigue es luchar en contra de quienes los organizan y ese es el plan de 456, sin embargo, así como la temporada pasada los juegos son los grandes protagonistas, pero... ¿Los personajes son igual de buenos?, pues aquí está mi opinión.

Personajes


Comenzamos a analizar al propio protagonista, quien cambia de esencia al mostrarse más serio y mucho más frío que en la primera temporada, si bien era necesario para el guion tener a un Gi-hun con mucho más carácter, muchos de nosotros extrañaremos las expresiones y ese toque cómico que tanto le caracterizó. 

Un personaje que evolucionó muy bien es el reclutador, se convirtió en un personaje mucho más perturbador en esta temporada, un salto bastante significativo tanto para el personaje como para el mismo actor, un personaje que le otorga esa esencia macabra a los primeros capítulos previos a los juegos, para mí uno de los mejores personajes en esta temporada.

Otro conjunto de personajes es una madre y un hijo que coinciden en el juego, una señora mayor junto a un joven, pero que se convierten en parte de esos personajes queridos y que deseamos que no les ocurra nada.

El villano de los juegos Thanos, en cada serie debe haber un antagonista más allá del contexto o situaciones, este personaje es un completo idiota, pero que con carisma pudo cautivar a muchos espectadores, la verdad no es un tipo de antagonista que me resulte interesante, simplemente es un idiota sin cerebro que se asemeja más a un payaso, pero igual he visto que a los espectadores les agradó este personaje.

Otro buen personaje es la jugadora 120, demostrando inclusión, pero sin forzar la trama o al personaje, realmente uno de los mejores personajes con evolución, sentimientos y un perfil psicológico entendible a pesar de estar tan poco tiempo en pantalla, pero es uno de los personajes que más recordaremos en esta serie.

### Opinión de los Personajes

Desde mi humilde opinión, algunos personajes son buenos, pero a mi parecer los de la primera temporada son mucho mejores, tanto sus desarrollos, evolución e incluso final, son memorables. Se puede decir que a estos personajes nuevos todavía tienen un camino del cual recorrer; sin embargo, la percepción es de que los personajes de la primera temporada son mejores.

La esencia de los juegos se mantiene y creo que es el aspecto más relevante. Esa sensación que se logra a mezclar juegos tradicionales infantiles con la muerte es una fórmula infalible, y la producción realiza una muy buena ejecución.

A pesar de todo lo que significa Squid Game 2, debo decir que me pareció mejor la primera temporada, al menos terminando de ver esta primera parte, la pretensión de esta producción es alargar la historia para sacar mejor beneficio económico y en la mayoría de series no termina muy bien, sobre todo, cuando se nos presentó una serie tan dinámica desde el principio. 





A pesar de que desde mi perspectiva sobre los personajes es que no son tan buenos y el guion está estructurado para alargar la historia, Squid Game 2 resulta ser entretenida, una digna segunda temporada a pesar de algunas desmejoras.

A character that evolved very well is the recruiter, he became a much more disturbing character in this season, a significant leap for both the character and the actor himself, a character that gives that macabre essence to the first chapters before the games, for me one of the best characters in this season.
