Existen películas psicológicas, con suspenso e intriga, que se desenvuelven de tal manera que nos otorgan sorpresas sobre los misterios establecidos que normalmente se originan en los primeros minutos del filme, este tipo de películas son bastante interesantes desde mi punto de vista (creo que otros usuarios pensarán lo mismo), son películas en las cuales el entretenimiento otorgado parte de la percepción psicológica de los espectadores sobre sus personajes, en combinación de las dudas del mismo espectador sobre las diferentes situaciones que abarca la narrativa. Las películas como Fractura o Contratiempo, son ejemplos claros de ese desarrollo con misterio, no saber lo que realmente ocurre, es lo que termina por envolver a los espectadores, al menos ese ha sido mi caso.

Los Renglones Torcidos de Dios, se introduce un poco en ese estilo, si bien al final de este post menciono cuál de estas producciones españolas me gustó más, debo decir que si poseen esa característica de mantener el misterio oculto y casi indescifrable hasta el final, algo magnífico a mi parecer.



# Sinopsis:

Alice es ingresada en un hospital psiquiátrico, alega que su estadía es un secuestro legal concebido por una persona que desea tener acceso a su fortuna, sin embargo, su verdadero objetivo es recaudar algunas pistas sobre un asesinato que ocurrió un año atrás, su cordura y juicio serán puestos a prueba en el lugar, así como los misterios que se rodean el sanatorio.

# Análisis de la Película

Esta es una producción española que tiene como propuesta un desarrollo con una dosis de intriga, al estar en un sanatorio o psiquiátrico, nos otorga la ventana de suponer que será un filme arraigado al la cordura, o más bien, la falta de ella. Uno de los aspectos esenciales para presentar un trabajo que pueda mantener la atención de los espectadores, es creando la incógnita y mantenerla sin la respuesta definitiva. Esta característica me agrada debido a que iniciamos nuestra propia investigación, realizando teorías e hipótesis sobre lo que realmente ocurre, por supuesto, teniendo como referencia los guiones de tantas películas vistas, por lo cual, al no tener una respuesta clara, deseamos seguir viendo y tratar de desvelar por nuestra cuenta los misterios, intentando anticiparnos al mismo filme en sus revelaciones.



En lo particular, me agrada no tener la razón sobre estos filmes (en el sentido de poder predecir lo que sucederá), puesto que si la tengo de manera muy rápida, es porque la película se encamina sobre un guion conocido o totalmente predecible, me agradan las películas en donde no se pueda dilucidar lo que sucede sobre el final, aunque este filme utiliza recursos para hacerlo un poco predecible, no es tan fácil unir todas las piezas del rompecabezas, así que en ese sentido, logra el objetivo de sorprender y de dejar una muy buena sensación luego de haber visto y concluido sobre las diferentes situaciones mostradas durante el metraje.

# Desarrollo y giros en la Trama



Sin dudas, lo más atrayente de este filme es la construcción o la estructura narrativa que nos propone el guion, tenemos algunos eventos mostrados en una especie de flashback que mantiene la atención, sin embargo, algunos giros inesperados en esas muestras en la línea del tiempo, tienden a confundir, siendo parte importante del entretenimiento general del filme. A mi parecer, esa narrativa es el aspecto positivo más resaltante de toda la producción.



# Actuaciones y Personajes

Uno de los rasgos más relevantes en la construcción del guion es tener los personajes adecuados que mantengan la incertidumbre siempre sobre la mesa. Me parece que la construcción de la protagonista es muy interesante, un personaje excepcionalmente brillante, con un desenvolvimiento convincente, a pesar de que los focos son puestos sobre la protagonista, el conjunto de personajes que acompañaron en la historia a Alice también me parecen acertados, tanto el director del psiquiátrico, doctores y demás.

Otro aspecto interesante en cuanto a personajes también recae en los mismos pacientes del sanatorio, algunos de sus personajes conforman una diversidad que termina por ser otro de esos aspectos positivos que gustan del filme, de hecho, podemos hacer conexión con algunos de ellos y sentir empatía sobre esos pacientes que se encuentran con una condición inusual desde un punto de vista médico o mental.



# Ambientación



El filme está ambientado en los años 70, posee un muy buen trabajo en este aspecto, vestimenta, peinados, accesorios, además, como es de esperarse, las instalaciones del centro de salud mental también posee esa característica de los 70. Me agrada la estética del centro de salud, que combina esa sensación un poco terrorífica, pero que se combina con cierta libertad.



# Un buen Final



Algo que nos complace a muchos de los que disfrutamos este tipo de filmes, se encuentra en los últimos segundos del metraje, segundos en los cuales en muchas ocasiones responden con imágenes, todas las preguntas que desde el principio se cruzan por nuestra cabeza, ese es el estilo de final de este filme, uno que a mi parecer es correcto y que posiblemente no todos se lo esperen, así que deben estar atentos a las pistas.

# Opinión Final



Esta película es entretenida, a pesar de que posee un metraje de más de 150 minutos, pienso que cada minuto en construcción de la trama vale la pena, todo para llegar a un buen final, esta es una producción española que desde mi humilde opinión vale la pena ver y se merece estar algunos días en el top de películas en Netflix.



Si me preguntan sobre la primera referencia de otro filme español con características similares en cuanto a misterio e intriga (contratiempo), la balanza de mi opinión se inclina más a favor de contratiempo, me parece que la sorpresa de esa película es mayúscula en esos segundos finales, sin embargo, Los Renglones Torcidos de Dios no deja un muy buen sabor de boca en muchos aspectos y en el recurso narrativo.

Debo mencionar que esta producción es basada en una novela, la cual no he leído, por lo cual, solo otorgo mi opinión sobre el recurso audiovisual disponible en Netflix.



# ¿La Recomiendo?



Sí, es un filme algo largo para algunos espectadores que desean que la acción comience desde el primer minuto, sin embargo, me parece un metraje correcto para construir toda la trama. Es una película para aquellos que les guste algo de misterio e intriga, que deseen ver un filme que les otorgue la sensación de no saber lo que ocurre del otro lado de la pantalla, es un muy buen entretenimiento, por lo cual la recomiendo abiertamente.

There are psychological films, with suspense and intrigue, that unfold in such a way that give us surprises about the established mysteries that usually originate in the first minutes of the film, these types of films are quite interesting from my point of view (I think other users will think the same), they are films in which the entertainment given part of the psychological perception of the viewers about their characters, in combination with the doubts of the same viewer about the different situations covered by the narrative. Films like Fractura or Contratiempo, are clear examples of this development with mystery, not knowing what really happens, is what ends up involving the viewers, at least that has been my case.

This is a Spanish production that has as a proposal a development with a dose of intrigue, being in a sanatorium or psychiatric, gives us the window to assume that it will be a film rooted in sanity, or rather, the lack of it. One of the essential aspects to present a work that can hold the viewers' attention is to create the unknown and keep it without a definitive answer. This characteristic pleases me because we start our own investigation, making theories and hypotheses about what really happens, of course, having as a reference the scripts of so many films seen, so, not having a clear answer, we want to keep watching and try to unveil the mysteries on our own, trying to anticipate the same film in its revelations.

In particular, I like not being right about these films (in the sense of being able to predict what will happen), since if I am right very quickly, it is because the film is based on a known or totally predictable script, I like films where it is not possible to elucidate what happens at the end, although this film uses resources to make it a little predictable, it is not so easy to put together all the pieces of the puzzle, so in that sense, it achieves the goal of surprising and leaving a very good feeling after having seen and concluded about the different situations shown during the film.

# Development and plot twists

Undoubtedly, the most attractive of this film is the construction or narrative structure proposed by the script, we have some events shown in a kind of flashback that keeps the attention, however, some unexpected twists in these samples in the timeline, tend to confuse, being an important part of the overall entertainment of the film. In my opinion, that narrative is the most outstanding positive aspect of the whole production.

# Acting and Characters

One of the most relevant features in the construction of the script is to have the right characters that keep the uncertainty always on the table. It seems to me that the construction of the protagonist is very interesting, an exceptionally brilliant character, with a convincing performance, although the spotlight is placed on the protagonist, the set of characters that accompanied Alice in the story also seem to me right, both the director of the psychiatric hospital, doctors and others.

Another interesting aspect in terms of characters also falls on the patients of the sanatorium, some of its characters make up a diversity that ends up being another of those positive aspects that like the film, in fact, we can make a connection with some of them and feel empathy for those patients who are with an unusual condition from a medical or mental point of view.

# Setting

The film is set in the 70's, it has a very good work in this aspect, clothing, hairstyles, accessories, also, as expected, the mental health center facilities also has that 70's characteristic. I like the aesthetics of the health center, which combines that feeling a bit terrifying, but combined with a certain freedom.

# A good ending

Something that pleases many of us who enjoy this type of films, is found in the last seconds of the footage, seconds in which in many occasions they answer with images, all the questions that from the beginning cross our head, that is the style of ending of this film, one that in my opinion is correct and that possibly not everyone expects it, so you should be attentive to the clues.

# Final Opinion

This film is entertaining, even though it has a footage of more than 150 minutes, I think that every minute in construction of the plot is worth it, all to get to a good ending, this is a Spanish production that from my humble opinion is worth watching and deserves to be a few days in the top of movies on Netflix.

If you ask me about the first reference of another Spanish film with similar characteristics in terms of mystery and intrigue (Contratiempo), the balance of my opinion tips more in favor of Contratiempo, it seems to me that the surprise of that film is capital in those final seconds, however, Los Renglones Torcidos de Dios does not leave a very good taste in the mouth in many aspects and in the narrative resource.

Yes, it is a somewhat long film for some viewers who want the action to start from the first minute, however, it seems to me a correct footage to build the whole plot. It is a film for those who like some mystery and intrigue, who want to see a film that gives them the feeling of not knowing what happens on the other side of the screen, it is a very good entertainment, so I recommend it openly.
