<br><br><center>*It wasn't so much that I was in search of answers. In fact, I was wary of the whole idea of answers. I wanted to climb inside the questions and see what was there.

<br><br>It was upsetting to find a tracking device planted on my SUV but even more shocking to learn who planted it.
That was the purpose of our visit to the local police precinct this morning, and finding out the tracking device was planted by law enforcement really disturbed me.
I'm sitting with Wren in *The Fortune Garden*, the local Chinese restaurant recommended by Ned Snowden, and although it's a safe haven, I don't exactly feel secure at the moment.
"You're still bothered by Kate's disclosure aren't you?" Wren asked.
I shrugged, "Yeah, I guess it's not every day I discover I'm considered a person of interest by the police."
<br><br>Wren understood. She smiled at me compassionately and reached across the table and patted my hand.
"Look, one thing I can tell you, it's not a serious matter. I mean, Kate and Sam knew nothing about it. If the OPP really considered you were involved in the terror attack, don't you think they would have informed the local police?"
My eyes lit up. "You're right—the fact they knew nothing about it really surprised me."
"Also," Wren continued, "Kate went out of her way to reassure you they weren't regarding you as a target."
<br><br>She was right again. I saw the same look on Kate's face as I'm seeing now on Wren’s—she wanted to console me.
"So, what do you think is really going on?"
"You really want to know?"
I gulped and nodded nervously.
"I think they've got a renegade cop on their hands and it's embarrassing to them."
"You mean a cop who's freelancing without proper permission or warrants?"
"That's exactly what I mean. It's happened before, especially with rookies."
I shook my head in disbelief, "Well, it's better that it's something minor like that rather than terrorists monitoring me."
<br><br>At that moment Mae, the owner, showed up.
"So, you've decided to come back," she smiled, "Guess the food was to your liking last time."
"Definitely," I laughed, "won ton soup is now added to my food groups."
"Glad to hear that—same order is last time?"
I nodded and Wren interjected, "Same for me too."
"Excellent! I'll be back with the draft beers in a moment."
<br><br>"Wow!" I marvelled, "weren't you even curious about what I ordered?"
She waved off my remark, "You're not exactly the type who would order octopus or anything too exotic."
"So you don't think I'm adventurous?" I mock pouted.
"I didn't say that, " she teased back. "You're here with me—that belies that notion."
<br><br>Mae was back and dropped off the drafts.
Wren hoisted her glass and clinked it against mine, "Zhuībǔ zuìfàn," she toasted.
"Sounds like Chinese," I observed.
"It is," she smiled, "It means 'to the pursuit of the criminals.' I think you can agree with that toast."
"Amen to that," I laughed, tipping my glass in her direction.
