In recent years, there has been an explosion in the number of people who are interested in researching various taboo topics, in hopes of finding a way to make the world a better place. For the first time in human history, the internet has given us access more information than our ancestors could have ever imagined.

This is an incredibly positive thing, however, for someone new to this type of research, the information out there about our tragic reality can be depressing and overwhelming. It is true that there is much to be sad and angry about when looking at how things are going around the world, but it is important to take a long view of history, and not let our perception and our cultural programming cloud our perception of reality.

Before we came to the realization that that there is unnecessary corruption, struggle and conflict in this world, we were led to believe that everything was as it should be. We were led to believe that we have reached the maximum point in human achievement and civilization, and we were led to believe that conflict and violence was rooted in our "human nature."

These beliefs that were instilled in us from an early age, gave us a sense of calm about the tragic world that we lived in. However, when coming to the realization that it does not have to be this way, we are shaken from this calm, and it is very easy to think that "the sky is falling" at this point.

When falling into this trap it is important to remember things are pretty much as bad now as the day that you were born, you grew up in this mess, but you are only just now beginning to realize that it is actually a mess.

Now that you are no longer looking at the world through rose colored glasses, it looks like less of a pleasant place than it was when you had those glasses on.

This is an entirely natural feeling to experience during a transition of this kind, but it is more your perception, than it is reality.
