I’m not a whale or dolphin, even not a fish, I’m minnow like most of you.

 I had decided to write this POST article after  realising something  in @yallapapi's previous post   about the rewards.

His post made me realise that so many whales we see today are simply enjoying the reward for their hard work, loyalty and consistency.  Because there was a time when the price of steem was dangerously below a dollar, yet,   But these whales stayed and built the vision from ground up which we are on today.


### Agree or disagree Steemit has no get-rich quick scheme.

I think the biggest mistake that people who sign up for the platform have the wrong idea: they simply want to earn money as fast as they can. But there is no ‘get-rich-quick’ scenario.

In the 3 months I’m using SteemIt, I’ve been working my ass off to get at least one decent post online. I’m not an expert in something, nor am I a talented writer. I realize my posts are not top notch and I will probably never become a whale. But I love to learn new things about cryptocurrencies and the Steemit platform, and what I learn,I share to help other people out. I would be lying if I said I don’t like seeing my author rewards go up a little bit every time, but the real value is in the interaction and the ‘learning-from-eachother’ part.

What you have to know is that  SteemIt isn’t the platform for anyone who is not willing to spend loads of time to do research for writing a good article. If you want to post a copy/paste article or a YouTube video   of someone else has made without having the decency to at least write your own intro and hoping to get rich, *you’re at the wrong place* .

(Although every day I come across several articles that are just plain worthless and are still earning 10 times more than me, so I can only conclude the wrong attitude is being enforced by the system somehow.)

I’m planning to do some experiments with different posts - quality posts as well as rubbish - to find out what triggers people to vote.

Earlier today I read an article that suggested you could earn $15/day by simply posting 15 articles a day  that would earn $1 each.
I can hardly imagine that those 15articles a day will provide real value, still I believe this Guy can make it work somehow. *And that’s just plain sad*...

### Skipping a step

Most minnows  want to skip the first step, They  want to trend but they often forget it is one step at a time. Always being concerned about your inability to trend as a minnow in my opinion is a misplaced priority, as solely focusing on a trending page shows there might be issues with dedication to the vision.
What many people fail to understand is that steemit not only promotes creativity, but brain power, loyalty and patience.
The main mission should not be to trend immediately, should not be to pull in the big bucks, it should be to develop the vision and patient.

It doesn't work like that. Not because you don't have a boobs, only because you are the expenditures with high risk. Can you give some guarantee of effective marketing? Not now, when you want get only money from your posts without helping STEEMIT to develop. Can you become a voice of steemit in real life, for his growing with your cooking or painting posts? As i thought find of ways of helping steemit grow.

Another major problem with minnows is some do not understand the value of priorities. We often perceive steemit in this order

>Sign up-->Make cash-->Trend-->Build a following-->i-->Increase in reputation score-->make cash
When in actuality it should be:
Register-->Understand the concept-->Build a following-->Increase in reputation score-->Support the community-->Make cash-->Trend

*So the question is why are the minnows in a hurry to achieve in a day what took the whales over a year to achieve* ?

To end that  i would advice you not to ask  what steemit can   can do for YOU. See how YOU can help others. If you provide something of interest and value, they will often want to reward you for your efforts.



### Those whales we see were once  minnows too.

Right now minnows do not want to build each other up,  *i dunno why* they don't want to follow each other because they believe the whales will make them whales instantly, so they resteem whales's posts  and overlook their fellow minnows. They upvote and comment in whale's posts and skip those of their fellow minnows.
Steemit is designed that votes, no matter the reputation score, are counted and those votes alone will get you to the top. Most whales won't resteem a minnow because they expect you to figure it out and earn your way to the top. But, on the other hand, a minnow will most like resteem a fellow minnow who resteems him and before you know it, you get more votes, higher chance of an increased reputation score, more following which means more recognition and cash after some time.


### Conclusion

Remember to have fun and connect with people. Forget about the money and concentrate on bringing something cool to the table and socializing in a genuine way and before you know it you'll be rocking it. 


 Any way If some of what I've written here comes off a bit harsh, perhaps that's  because it's meant to be. My goal is to save both of us some time, and help set you on the right path (with the correct mindset) to achieving success on STEEMIT, and perhaps more generally, in life as well.
