The original thing about this sail is that just like a tire it is inflatable, its revolutionary design allows a boat to reduce its fuel consumption and therefore have a positive impact on the environment, by reducing CO2 emissions, the sail is designed to be installed on most merchant ships and pleasure boats.

The other sail has been developed by the company bound4blue in Spain, in this case the structure looks more like a chimney, but like traditional sails it knows how to use the force of the wind.

The structure has been assembled on a Spanish fishing boat in Panama and it is the first time that a rigid sail has been installed on a fishing boat, the sail will be put to the test during the month of June and the idea has already interested Galician shipowners who plan to extend this sail prototype to the rest of the fleet and thus reduce the fuel consumption of its boats by around 30%.
