My Friends 

True friendship is based on the love of Christ. Jesus is our great example of friendship. A true friendship is very valuable.

Friends are people who have things in common and who like each other's company. We can have many acquaintances, with whom we give ourselves well, but a true friend is a more arrived person (Proverbs 18:24). Our friends influence us. True friendship lasts, it does not end easily.


Some characteristics of true friendship according to the Bible are:

Love - love is the key to any good relationship; True friendship is signed in brotherly love - Proverbs 17:17
Union - friends like to be together and defend each other; Sharing interests helps to be more united - Ecclesiastes 4:12

Respect - a friend is not a means to an end, it has value in itself; true friendship respects the value of the person and seeks their good - Romans 12:10
Honesty - lying destroys friendships; the friend tells the truth in love, even when the other will not like it, for his good - Proverbs 27: 5-6

Help - the true friend helps his partner when he knows that he is going through difficulties or problems - Proverbs 27:10
Confidence - in true friendship there is no place for envy, gossip or betrayal; A true friend is not perfect but he is a reliable person - Proverbs 16:28
