Chicken Wings with Asian Flavors [ENG][ESP]

I love baked chicken wings, when they are well seasoned, the magic happens inside the oven and the wings are delicious. I love Asian flavors, and even though Asia is very big, I love to say Asian flavors because I don't usually use the flavors of a specific place, I mix flavors from different cultures.

Me gustan mucho los sabores asiáticos, y aunque Asia es grandísima, me encanta decir sabores asiáticos porque no suelo usar los sabores de un lugar en específico, sino que mezclo los sabores de diferentes culturas.

For these wings, I used oyster sauce, soy sauce, 5 Chinese spices and ajinomoto, the mixture of all this is a real explosion of flavors in the mouth, to which I added some hot chili powder, to give it that spicy touch that different Asian cultures love so much. I could have used many more spices, but this is a world I am still experimenting with.

Pude haber utilizado muchísimas especies más, pero esto es un mundo que me encuentro experimentando todavía.

Baked wings are very easy to prepare and are perfect to accompany any meal. When I make wings at home, I usually make rice, but this rice I let it cool and then mix it with scallions, grated carrots, garlic, ajinomoto and soy sauce. I heat it for a few minutes and I get a rice charged with flavor and very different from the typical white rice. Let's go to the step by step of this recipe, for which you will need the following:

Cuando preparo alitas en casa, suelo hacer arroz, pero este arroz lo dejo enfriar y luego lo mezclo con cebollín, zanahoria rallada, ajo, ajinomoto y salsa de soja. Lo llevo a calentar unos cuantos minutos y obtengo un arroz cargado de sabor y muy diferente al típico arroz blanco. Vamos al paso a paso de esta receta, para lo cual necesitaras lo siguiente:

- Place the chicken wings in a bowl and add the oyster sauce, 5 spice powder, garlic powder, chili powder and salt. Stir to mix all the flavors and let rest for 1 hour in the refrigerator for the wings to absorb the flavors.

> - Colocamos las alitas de pollo en un bol y agregamos la salsa de ostras, el polvo 5 especies, el ajo en polvo, el chile en polvo y sal. Removemos para que todos los sabores se mezclen y dejamos reposar 1 hora dentro de la nevera para que las alitas absorban los sabores.

- Once the wings have rested in the refrigerator for 1 hour, place them on a baking sheet and bake them in the oven at 190°C. Bake the wings for 10 minutes on each side.

> - Una vez las alitas hayan reposado en la nevera por 1 hora, las colocamos en una placa para horno y las llevamos a hornear por a 190°C. Debemos hornear las alitas 10 minutos por cada lado.

- In a small bowl, add the soy sauce and sugar. Mix well to dissolve the sugar.

> - En un bol pequeño, agregamos la salsa de soja y el azúcar. Mezclamos bien para disolver el azúcar.

- Take the wings out of the oven and spread the sauce on all sides, they should be well covered and then put them back in the oven for another 10 minutes. 

> - Saca las alitas del horno y coloca la salsa por todos lados, deben quedar bien cubiertas y luego las volemos a meter en el horno por el espacio de 10 minutos más.

- Remove the chicken wings from the oven and serve with the side dish of your choice.

As you can see, it is an extremely simple preparation. The good thing about the oven is that we only have to check from time to time to avoid burning what we are baking. If your wings have dropped a lot of liquid, you can remove it before adding the soy sauce with sugar. Let me know in the comments if you like the wings and how you usually eat them.
