If you've been looking at my picture posted here on *liketu* you'll discover my crazy obsession for depth of field. One of the reasons why I prefer shooting on an iPhone is the crazy bokeh effects that come with the aspect of the pictures that are not in focus. One phone that can do this quite well is the high-end OnePlus phone, for example, the OnePlus 9 or 10.

However, in the mobile photography sector, there's a huge lens competition. iPhone is currently comfortable with the 12MP lens on all the cameras and this is because of the sophistication of the iPhone's software. Its computational photography is top-notch, whilst most android relies on hardware. This is why some androids have a 64MP sensor or 120MP but still, the image resolution and the quality might suck.

**This is because you need to create a balance between hardware and software when it comes to Mobile photography.** Light is the most important ingredient of photography, but these days we now see mobile devices that adopt more computational photography. I heard the latest iPhone 14 pro max comes with a 48MP which means the iphone is beginning to take cognizance of the importance of hardware as well when it comes to photography.

The reason is that high-end iPhones like the 13 pro max still underperform when it comes to nighttime photography and this is major because of the lesser concentration on the hardware, but excels brilliantly with good light. But then, in the end, the likelihood of a picture taken during the day is more than the ones that'll be taken at night.

It's difficult to create the balance I mentioned this would mean that the mobile device would be very expensive. One of the devices that creates a balance between the hardware and software is **Sony**, this is why some of Sony's high-end devices can go as high as $2500 to even purchase it.

**However, why are people not paying attention to these beasts rather than just concentrating on iPhone and Samsung?**
The reason is that these Sony phones are very expensive.. people in the market what to take a stunning pictures, do their podcasts, and also pay an affordable price.

This is why quality and affordability are always a synonym for Samsung & iPhones, not 100% affordability but then, people are already used to these prices and are always willing to part with their money to purchase them. We can never have a completely mobile device with the perfect photography enablements and this is simply because of marketing. It's not about producing quality phones, it's about selling them and making a profit.

The truth is that Samsung will continue to rival iPhones and this will be purely because of mode of usage of people, preferences, use cases and some other factor. One thing I know is that, if I'm opportuned, I'll use both high ends of iPhones and Samsung and this is because I feel that these phones supplement themselves rather than create a disparity.

Back to the Main pictures of the post, I've been experimenting with my iPhone 12 again and this time I decided to edit with a different ambiance. I love warm and vivid colors and sometimes I try as much as possible to create something for the sole purpose of aesthetics. The model for the images is a friend, I depict the imagery of a modern-day content creator. **The light, the phone, the headset.** *hope I was able to create this well. What do you think? ?*

Thanks, I have this thing for mobile photography and since I've taken interest in it for quite a while, it's given me the ability to analyse and talk about phones and gadgets.

I think it's the 10 inches which is the smallest of all the lights I guess.
