I think that romantic love was actually quite rare and a thing of fantasy in the past. Some people where lucky enough to have it, but most people probably came together either due to someone else putting them together (parents, religious leaders etc), for practical reasons, or by accident. I think people then grew into love with each other after many years of shared life. In this day and age, I think people can more afford to find love since life is usually more liberal than in the past. Having said that, people are a lot more materialistic now and material things are put ahead of true love. Like you said, people are less hopelessly and stupidly in love as they used to be in the past, at least those that were lucky enough in the past to have found true love.

> I think that romantic love was actually quite rare and a thing of fantasy in the past. Yes, it was easier before, but it totally wasn't. My parents were testament. They were brought together by family and sincerely, the love never grew or materialized to something tangible. While I know a lot of people back then we're lucky to experience real romantic love. I think, it's different now, one of the reasons is due to materialistic tendencies and trying to create feeling by tying it to conditional things. It's a terrible way of building love. It is being improvised and I think it's now difficult to find what's unconditional. Thanks for coming by, this input is really detailing and expresses more of what I was saying.

This is so true, the fear of not being loved as you love is killing the side of us that is suppose to love freely. And like you said we as humans we prefer to go for certainty than uncertainty because we are scared of the after math of chasing our uncertainty. It was nice seeing this video, you were just saying almost every thing I've observed, kudos @josediccus, I can't wait to see your next videoππ.

Thank you, well, the fear of not being loved back, makes it difficult to truly express what we feel, there's a lot of rogue emotion we actually curtail by being realistic in life. It's very important to understand that love itself is complex and we need to embrace what eventually brings peace to our mental health. Thanks for coming through.

Exactly, embracing the unknown, that's where fear starts crippling in. I just hope one could let go of this fear of the unknown and walk by faith ππ. It's my pleasure reading through.

Unfortunately, we have peope who have been terribly hurt in the past and are taking those pain and hurt into a new relationship, protecting their heart from getting hurt again. This way, there is a lot of limit within the relationship.

Love has long ago been centered on attraction even in the olden days where people fall in love because they are attracted to different things they see in such a person. To me, though this kind of love has been a lucky one for some where they spend their lives loving each other, but I would like to say that loving someone based on being attracted to one thing or the other is more like giving a reason to love. Take for instance, when you love someone because they can sing or their height attracted to you, in the long run, what if something happen and made such person loses what has been a factor of attraction, will the person keep loving? I believe when we have come to understand fully that love is selfless and you must love another purely and nothing attached to it, it makes the love wax stronger and longer than merely loving because you are attracted in one way or other to them. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed it too π

Even after people understand that attraction is only superficial, it's always the entry point of love. Sometimes I believe I am not the best candidate for this discussion because I don't even know how flawed I am, in respite to this issue. But then, I feel it's something I should take the time to talk about. Thanks for always dropping by.
