It's no longer news that Jose Mourinho is now the new Tottenham manager and infact yesterday he had his first press conference and also training with the players and my goodness it was a sight! Truth was we saw the sacking of Pochettino but boy did we see Daniel Levy bringing on Jose Mourinho? No! We definitely didn't. Truth be told Levy is a businessman to the core, he is profit driven and he is ambitious, without him Tottenham might just be a mid table team but my! The tenacity and the ability to want to go higher is why Spurs are currently mentioned among the top six, we shouldn't forget that white Hart lane is yet to see a trophy in a really long time, and in bringing in Mourinho, Daniel Levy is trying to consolidate on silverwares, he wants a true winner, a tested and trusted manager and well we might say bring in trophies on a short term level. However in my opinion as much as there are so many excitement surrounding this transfer I still think that there are things that needs to be addressed about this onboarding of the Portuguese, Jose Mourinho.


In all fairness, Mourinho can't accomplish what Pochettino did with the limited budget he had, if I'm mistaken, it was Pochettino who gave Harry Kane the chance to step into the limelight, I use to feel Pochettino had this Mental stability and maturity also control over his players and how it started going and went wrong is what I can't still decipher. I believe Tottenham  is suffering from diminishing returns, Pochettino had kept them stable and doing well on a relatively good level and I feel he wasn't really supported enough by the White Hart Lane board. They believe the problem was Pochettino, I didn't see any outburst from any of his players to really show that the team is tampered. I think see anyone complaining of his tactics but suddenly the team started doing badly and the reason is because everyone is buying to really change the Outlook of their team and Tottenham is buying little and little, so by this they're not relatively moving at the pace of other clubs and the fact that they made a lot of top four positions without spending much While they were building their stadium is a testament of the fact that Pochettino is not just a coach but a manager who does excellently well the odds are down, look at Jurgen Klopp at Mainz and at Dortmund? He never really hit the iceberg but he cut it at Liverpool and I think Pochettino only needs the right team to showcase his potential.


Without a doubt, I think the race for the top six has taken a new twist and forgive me, but I think Leicester City will go down while Totenham will come up the reason is, there will be a winning streak at Spurs the type that comes as a result of the adrenaline that comes with having a new manager and this might span for even close to another one year, like the boisterous first three months of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. In all fairness, I think Tottenham has gone for the biggest Manager around and well they're definitely in for a change in philosophy, I don't know if Mourinho is better refined as a manager or does he still parks the box? That's definitely left to be seen, from the training ground session Mourinho is hoping to make a mark and boy the excitement will be crazy.



In conclusion; Mourinho comes as a big manager to a fairly big club in Tottenham and it's of course the most shocking transfer so far this season, the truth is that big things will happen to Tottenham but will there be shortage of the bad and the ugly? I definitely don't think so. As for Spurs fans they have every right to be happy because silverwares are for sure even if it's the relatively small one but they won't come at the cost of throwing around some 200 million pounds to actualise this, however I don't see Mourinho sweeping away the EPL, hell basically spend bit for him to win the EPL might take him close to 7 years being in charge at Spurs and that's where the problem now lies, has Mourinho ever exceeded 5 years at a club? The answer is definitely No! Howbeit all these are permutations and believe me I'm glad to have Jose definitely back because the excitement has never and won't stop with Mourinho.
