For someone born and bred in an African setting, I'm being forced to patent the observation that Africans doesn't know the sophistication that should come with just communication alone and this might not really be an *African thing* it might be in the type of society I'm living in, it might not, however flash back to when  I was growing up in an African home, there was always this restriction between fathers and mothers, there wasn't a cordially visible or loud communication, it was considered weird for a father to bug a mum or share a joke, play couple jokes as well, and we grew up under the tutelage of such a compromised and uninteresting relationship between our parents. **So you can imagine why it's strange for an African couple to kiss in public infact to some extent it's a misappropriation** and I'm wondering when we will leave this stone age type of communication/relationship.


The western culture is directly the immediate influence on an African culture and down the years a typical African norm has been modernized to look like what we see in a regular western country, for example in Nigeria the regular native dress  called *ankara* is now being used to wear jeans, meanwhile in the past it wasn't. So it seems like mixing a clothing made popular by a westernised culture and it becomes improvisable to wear *ankara* and jeans, however I don't see this as evil, *inasmuch as I think Africa should create her own sophistication, trend and superiority in many sectors which can also be practically applicable by a western culture, I believe it's not bad to adopt some Western practices.* It's appalling however when I look around and almost every thing Western is copied including things like skin bleaching, **why then is some societies in Africa still totally inept when it comes to sophistication in communication patterns, skills and methodology?**

If other things like fashion, nudity, movie, music can be copied by an African setting of a western culture, Why then is the ability to adopt every ramifications of communication? I do believe communication is not just what is learnt from education, I believe it's got to do with mindset and mentality, way of life, exposure and being raised in the right setting, but so far there's this sense of pride and aggrandizing attitude when you see rich Africans communicate, they want to showcase their money or cars and you don't see them share a hearty laugh, tell a story and do regular things" and this sense of narrow mindedness is something that makes me wonder. **We're social animals or we're meant to be, you actually don't see curiousity, the need to reach out of one's comfort zone and embrace a certain sagacity, we don't seem eager to regularly meet people except for a benefit and people restrict themselves from talking to others simply because the person is a stranger***

Symmetry therefore is something an average African person lacks in their communication pattern. For example I've seen countless times when a non-african starts up a conversation with a regular stranger they've met on the bus or in the train station or even in a restaurant but in the African society where I grew up, somebody might say *"hi how are you?"* to you today "and tomorrow they might just pass you by without even reckoning with your presence instead of growing that communication pattern to become a strong relationship **so can you see the digression in what could have been a process of growth?** I've seen this numerously in African settings as Ghana, Liberia and Egypt, South Africa is quite better and by far very sophisticated in a their ability to communicate in a rising pattern, I don't know why this is so, maybe the influx of white, dutch, coloured people and a whole lot of cultures combined together. I'm not saying it's a race things but I'm wondering why it's rampant that some Societies in in Africa are really poor in progressive communication. while they've seem to copy most western lifestyle so quickly, when they is it hard to also copy or adapt that communication process which is even a better tool to building an informed future?
