Being in the dark for a long time makes one see being in the light as a privilege rather than a right or normalcy and we can't be blamed when we develop this mentality, the fact that life is cruel and we might have seen and experienced so many circumstances of cruelty makes us take injustice and suffering as something we will always have in the way the world works and we have adapted to this mindset because acceptance of a terrible condition doesn't only mean we can't do anything about it, it also signifies that we've fought but there's this psychological defeat that we've experienced as people and as a result of this we see ill luck and evil as a feature of our world and we growth to adapt and live with it. It's a disease for us to see good luck or bountiful reward for our endeavors as temporal or ephemeral just because we've been accustomed to having to do more to get so little Howbeit, this is a check on our expectations of life. Sometimes reality is a version of life which we hardly dream about and when we've had instances to see or experience the real reality it reshapens our mentality and truth is that the experiences that's given us the most sleepless nights are the ones that dictates the way we see life. They form our values and how we treat or face life's essence and the moment life begins to us a fairly good side or outcome, we start to so doubt if it will ever last long infact we often tend to take advantage of good times so as to make up for the bad times we have had in the past and because we feel the good times will only last for a short while we abuse it so much and this sequence comes from being exposed to darkness, hardship and pain for a really long period of time. Sometimes our expectations of reality is often correct, good things hardly last except you inherited goodness by default, when we look at the various times we've had causes to smile in life and they're not memorable enough to remember, it means goodwill weren't originally created for us and the fact that we only experience it for a little gives us that mindset that life's generally hard for a lot of people and constantly pleasant for a lot of people and we accept this as a phenomenon of life no matter how absurd or really heartbreaking it may seem. The truth is something doesn't have to pleasant to be true, infact most truth about reality is mostly unpleasant and when we've come to this acceptance, it takes long to change our Mentality when series of good things begins to happen. In all fairness, the mind is fertile place and the most convincing or initial experience often takes deep root and become too hard to uproot by pleasant or better experience. So when we see good things happen to us, is seems abnormal and sometimes we even feel underserved, unworthy and over pampered, do we often want to acummulate resources, money, goodwill, treasures in large quantity when we come across this series of good will and the fact that we're abusing it's essence doesn't really concern us because we know it's only here for a short period of time. That said I haven't felt a sense of longevity, because believe me nothing brings a characteristics of longevity and not even the life you're living is included. So the circumstances which we've found ourselves is the main reason why we only experience good things for a while and the *not so good* things for a longer period. In essence take advantage of a change in situation when it comes because sometimes we're unfortunately fortunate and I don't understand why we can't be happy to take advantage of something that comes once in a while because the moment you feel life comes to your doorstep with goodies then you may be forever lost out from the good times.
