What Do You Do To Show Gratitude On Hive?

<hr>

I believe we underappreciate the essence of appreciation, and this is not always intentional. Most people do not know how to express gratitude. Most of the time, we feel compelled to give something substantial, such as money, in-kind payment, or something else, but a simple "thank you" usually suffices.

I do not believe anyone was born knowing how to say *"thank you"*. Words can be difficult to form, and you must know how to combine different words to form something meaningful, but not everyone can do this, and it may appear that some people are ungrateful when, in reality, they simply do not know how to do so.

Nobody is born knowing how to do some of life's simplest tasks. Simple is not easy; easy is not simple. Unless the person is close, we can express gratitude by not being vocal, but when they are distant or official, we simply must not be vocal.

I use to remind some of the people close to me, how it'll have been difficult for me without them. There is no way to hide the truth; it is reality, and there is no shame in telling someone that you would be in a ditch if it were not for them. It is not weakness; it is only gratitude.

## Hive

In 2024, I met some people on Hive and had some interesting and eye-opening conversations with them. You know how it is with Hive: you have to keep sweeping through the chain until you find a community, a group of individuals, or a specific type of creator.

Some people spend years looking for something and never seem to find it. It can be frustrating to be a lone fish looking for meaning and a place to belong. I discovered many exciting places and met some new people.

I did make some unexpected posts that elicited mixed reactions; however, I gained new supporters and began supporting some newer accounts.

The best part of it is that I now get to support back those accounts that threw that support behind me. They get to enjoy the benefits of supporting me when I couldn't support back, I guess I owed them the constant support, by trying to own a stake of my own that has now enabled me to supported them back.

> **Gratitude raised to power 10**

## 2020

I recall receiving a 2k Hive giveaway in 2020, along with three other people, and I staked more than 80% of that amount. I understand that I am not obligated to repay most of the time, but that is how I am.

I want them to check back and be like *"oh, he staked what we gave away"*. They might check, they might not, in any case, win-win for me.

I always want to leave a statement. Gratitude needs to be reciprocated.

Why? You need to keep or sustain a chain reaction. When you say "thank you" in cash or kind, vocally or silently, with actions or something else, the other person feels compelled to do more, and when you say another *"thank you,"* the goodwill continues to recycle itself.

 ## Gratitude comes with a *ROI*.

**If you truly want that *ROI*, your gratitude must be loud.**

For example, we all have people to whom we want to say, *"You know what? Have this $5,000 and go shopping for everything you have done for me"* Of course, we are poor and can not afford it right now, but the fact that we have made these mental promises motivates us to keep pushing.

So the need to be grateful can turn you into a hustler.

It is similar to getting a job on trial; they do not trust you yet, but they want to help you out of the goodness of their heart. So do you understand what this does?

It motivates you to work harder so that their trust in you is not misplaced or wasted.

> That is how it is for me.

It is not always limited to what you create on Hive. Sometimes a potential supporter or engager comes around, and they're like *"you know what, let me throw this guy some support, I like their vibes"* it's up to you to never let them down and show them you appreciate that support. Of course, you can do it silently or vocally, but you must.

I am a huge fan of appreciation. Of course, I am aware that I have lost it over the years and am no longer what or who I once was. In fact, I bought some items at the market yesterday and forgot to pay; things like this remind me that I am not as mentally alert as I once was.

That is not the point; my point is that I may lose concentration and so on, but I continue to try.

## 2024, Thank You All

This year, I created some hit-or-miss content, not knowing what I was doing. I discovered that my crypto content receives more attention and engagement than my rants.

Since my rants were not helping my mental health and I needed to heal or find a distraction, I decided that my crypto contents would be the best way to do so. I believe my crypto content accounts for more than 70% of my content.

It is not like I am an expert or anything; I simply write predictive, speculative, or psychological crypto content. I did not do any analysis or anything, but I still received a lot of views and engagement, and I would like to thank everyone who helped make this possible over the last year; I can not thank you all enough.

I agree that gratitude should be given. There was a lot of help that I got when I first started. I have moved away from a few things but I still remember what happened. Some of them, I still keep in contact with and I do try my best to give back where I can.

Indeed, thank you for reading. Yes. The concept of gratitude is truly important and we need to talk more about it. When we're aware, I think we become conscious enough to want to show it more.

>So the need to be grateful can turn you into a hustler

This is so true especially for those that understand giving back through vocal gratitude and or via actions. Staking almost the 2k liquid hive you received simple shows how intentional you are to give back to the system, showing gratitude via actions...it's admirable
I am also a fan of gratitude, a simple thank you can go a long way to motivate the person to keep doing more...it becomes a win win for all

2024 was an amazing ride with you for the little time I engaged in different kinds of your blogs, both crypto related and other aspects of life... there's always a take home for me
Keep making impacts here
Have a great day, big Joe

Yes, thanks for the comment. I remember back on the old chain, there was a lot of giveaways flying everywhere and unfortunately many people couldn't take advantage and build their stake. They spent everything in 2018 and left the chain. Unfortunately for them Hive did over x30 in 2021 and hit 3.4$ if this guys had remained on the chain with everything they managed to accumulate in 2017, imagine what they could have accomplished. Unfortunately they're nowhere to be found.

Gratitude indeed makes people hustlers, unfortunately it (gratitude can be difficult)

Gratitude is important in my eyes, I always like to repay people's kindness whenever possible. Receiving that 2,000 Hive must have felt great, and by staking the majority is definitely a great way to say thanks. I have been lucky to have met so many nice people here on Hive that kept me going in rough first months getting started as a blogger. It was rough!

Fantastic post!

@josediccus ·
Thanks. In reality, I think the system works here by the repayment of faith. I just didn't want to treat Hive like a form of cash cow, but something more and different. I think in this I get to support more people and also repay the faith in the system and even if I do (which I will) take profit, I'll still keep repaying by coming back to buy cheap Hive.
I think your story is quite unique, maybe one day you can talk of the days you began.

Thanks, always.

A good deed fosters gratitude. A person who does good feels good and happy, and his/her reputation increases. However, only one party fosters gratitude here. It must be mutual.
