Today I want to talk about this movie that I saw about a month ago and checking my notes I realized that I wanted to do a mini review.  Do you remember the movie La vita é bella?  Well that's where things go but this shows another reality, the other part, the Germans, on this occasion a family in particular.  This is 'The Zone of Interest'
 
The synopsis goes something like this: Rudolf Höss, director of the Auschwitz concentration camp, tries to build an idyllic family life with his family in a house located on the outskirts of the camp.

Hoy quiero hablar de esta película que ví hace como un mes y revisando mis notas me di cuenta que quería hacer un mini review. ¿Ustedes se acuerdan de la película La vida es bella? Bueno por ahí van las cosas pero esta muestra otra realidad, la otra parte, los alemanes, en esta ocasión una familia en particular. Se trata de Zona de interés.

La sinopsis dice algo así: Rudolf Höss, director del campo de concentración de Auschwitz, trata de construir una vida familiar idílica junto a su familia en una casa situada a las afueras del campo.

 I don't know how to start with this review, but basically we are going to see how the life of a family unfolds while on the side this horrible event called the Holocaust is happening.

  The film itself proposes another point of view, another perspective of this event but I really consider that it is a sensitive and very delicate topic because in history this event was marked as one of the most atrocious horrors of humanity and that they show how a a family of Germans continue with their lives in a country house is a bit disconcerting for many and surely many will hate this film even though it is understood that it is a cinematographic work.

No sé cómo empezar con esta reseña, pero básicamente vamos a ver cómo se desarrolla la vida de una familia mientras que en un costado está sucediendo este horrible evento llamado el holocausto.

La película en sí propone otro punto de vista, otra perspectiva de este evento pero realmente yo considero que es un tema sensible y muy delicado porque en la historia este suceso quedó marcado como uno de los horrores más atroces de la humanidad y que muestren como una familia de alemanes continúan con sus vidas en una casa de campo es un poco desconcertante para muchos y seguramente muchos odiaran esta película y aunque se entienda que es un trabajo cinematográfico.

To complement more of what I said before, this film aims to create emotions with the characters, to understand them and to travel in time, to make you ask yourself what you would have done, to make you question everything that is happening for a second but it quickly brings you back to reality and it is no longer understanding but displeasure when they show in the background the whole holocaust happening and the people just carrying out orders.  I could say that it is a good work in general and manages to cause emotions that may not be positive, but I would also say that this film was a total risk, showing that other side while many people were murdered.

Para complementar más de lo que dije antes, se propone con esta película crear emociones con los personajes, que los entiendas y que viajes en el tiempo, qué te hagas preguntar a ti mismo qué hubieras hecho tú, que te cuestiones todo lo que está pasando por un segundo pero rápidamente te devuelve a la realidad y ya no es comprensión sino desagrado cuando muestran en el transfondo todo el holocausto sucediendo y las personas solo llevando a cabo órdenes. Podría decir que es un buen trabajo en general y logra causarte emociones quizá no positivas pero también diría que esta película fue un riesgo total, mostrar ese otro lado mientras que muchos inocentes eran asesinados.
