### PREAMBLE

It is natural to be afraid either from an experience of trauma or for something yet to be experienced but poses dangers or uncertainty.

#### What do we fear? 

1.*We fear that our strength and potential may not be enough to give the expected result*. 

 Every human wants to associate himself with success and most time, the drive for success comes with fear of the unknown. A clear example is what we witnessed in exams. We may have prepared well for the exam but there is usually this fear that our preparations may not be enough to get the desired outcome, especially when we have experienced in the past, a result below our expectations, after much effort. At this point, the fear is likely to be around until the outcome is known. 

2.*The society we live in*. 
The world which should be a bed of roses is a place filled with envy and wickedness. This creates fear in us when we want to engage in certain things. We fear that people may fight us for what we believe in, what we want to do, or because we are not ready to flow along with our ways. This fear most times prevents us from doing things. We must understand that we don't need to consider society and what they think about what we want to do. If it is something morally right, then there shouldn't be fear of what people will think.

#### Why do we fear? 

1. *When what we are about to engage in is novel.* 

The fear of the unknown is more prominent when what we want to engage in is novel. We are afraid that it might not be successful, we are also afraid that people may not welcome it. This fear can kill dreams if the dreamer lacks a strong will to hold onto his dreams. 

2.*Incompetence* 

In school or business, when we fail to give in our best during an examination or fail to employ the best strategy for the success of our business, we will be filled with fear. We are afraid because we know that our actions are about to put us in danger.  Only when we succeed miraculously or through a change of life for a competent living, can we be able to overcome this type of fear. 

3.*What we have seen or witnessed in the past*. 

Naturally, stories of failure can cause failure in people. Many people gave up on a quest because of the stories of others who have tried the same thing but failed in the process. 
Also, we can be afraid to repeat that which we have done in the past but failed in it. The fear of a second failure becomes a huge barrier towards giving another trial.

#### What can be done?
> FEAR  :FORGET EVERYTHING AND RUN
              : FACE EVERYTHING AND RISE

Just like I said in the preamble, it is natural to be afraid. We only need to control the fear. We have a special gift given to us by God; **the will**.  We just need to capitalize on it and overcome fear. 

It is either we forget everything good that will come out of overcoming our fear and remain stagnant or we face our fear and rise to a greater height, the choice is always ours. If we are afraid of failure then we cannot succeed, because fear prevents us from taking a step, and there can't be any success without a step. Many of the renowned people we read about today faced many challenges that tested their will, they wouldn't have succeeded if they have not given in their best. 

Also, we shouldn't be afraid of failure, because with every failure comes a lesson to take home.
