Amazon has just announced a partnership with the UK government to expand its testing delivery drones. The new tests carried out in partnership with the Civil Aviation Authority of the UK, and will explore the most common usage scenarios of aircraft.

In those tests, the company will test drones capable of flying beyond your operator's field of view in areas around the state, testing their ability to identify and avoid obstacles without human interference. Amazon also plans to test fleets with large numbers of autonomous drones controlled by a single person.

The purpose of the tests is to understand how the aircraft can be used in a trusted way, carrying out delivery of products purchased online. The interest of the government agency, on the other hand, is to follow the test results to guide the drafting of laws on this new mode of transport.

The company is authorized to test drones in the United States since March 2015. When the devices are finalized, it is expected that they are able to "go after" the buyers of the packages, and recharge its batteries in light poles or other high places.
