***This plant surprised me the amount of years that has where its species goes back to more than 65 million years with more than 25. 000 species and its first historical appearance comes from Italy and first I found it very strange where its name comes from being its name given by the philosopher of ancient Greece Theophrastus, who wrote the first systematic treatise of pharmacological botany where he speaks of some plants that had two rounded tubercles at the base of the roots and the resemblance to the testicles of man put them in orchis which means precisely (testicles).***
>Esta planta me sorprendió la cantidad de años que tiene donde su especie se remonta a mas de 65 millones de años con mas de mas de 25.000 especies y su primera aparición histórica proviene de Italia y primero me pareció muy raro de donde proviene su nombre siendo su nombre dado por el filosofo de la antigua Grecia Teofrasto , el cual escribió el primer tratado sistemático de botánica farmacológica donde habla de algunas plantas que presentaron dos tubérculos redondeados en la base de las raíces y del parecido con los testiculos del hombre les puso en orchis del cual significa precisamente (testiculos).

***It is native to South America. It was declared flower on May 23, 1951. This species is considered as a species of the cloudy forests, with constant humidity although there is dry season, the plant is distributed by great part of Venezuela like: (States Miranda, Distrito Federal, Vargas, Aragua and Carabobo) each flower of an approximate size of 15-16cm.***
> Es originaria de Sudamérica. Fue declarada flor el 23 de mayo de 1951. esta especie se le considera como una especie de las selvas nubladas, con humedad constante aunque haya estación seca , la planta se distribuye por gran parte de Venezuela como: (Estados Miranda, Distrito Federal, Vargas, Aragua y Carabobo) cada flor de un tamaño aproximado de 15-16cm
