This is a interesting analysis, however, still a speculation. I was reviewing info about the algorithm and trust me it is more complex than that.

Thanks for the information. This is one area i want steem to simplify . there are too many rules that we do not know and its kind of difficult to exploit those rules if you don't know them. Maybe you should unfollow people who are not following you back . i just followed you though

Steemit is very well organized so far (i am a new member).

I think the best way to use is like a social media site not a money making one. Money is just a BONUS for your effort if you are giving value to the site and it's users.

Another good way to give you a push is buying steem power.

But in no way don't be a spammer in every post or  give always upvotes and resteems . Just do this when you feel the member deserves that .

That isn't how it works. Check the voter's wallets for the SP amount they have. That's why certain posts get more than others, because of higher SP being applied in votes to a post. It's not by vote count.

I don't remember it working like that, but that's an interesting theory.

I think that it's more complex than that.  Of course, it can be like what you say, but also can be like the way others say: the steem power is a sort of a key on the earning thing.
