Experts among you and all those who deal with the subject will surely already know it, but those who are not so well acquainted with the subject and who are not interested in it should know the crypto markets are currently collapsing! Nothing less than a huge crash has taken place and the reason for it was a huge crypto exchange called FTX went bust.
After the incident, more and more scandals have been uncovered, including misappropriation of funds. We know that cryptocurrencies are an alternative for many critical citizens in the world for long-term investments, but also to earn money, so through speculation, etc., and unfortunately, of course, a lot of people have now lost money.
In the course of this bankruptcy of the crypto exchange, some things have come to light that also can be very interesting for people interested in geopolitics. Before we going into this in more detail, it should now be said there are of course some people are calling for regulations, that precisely the crypto markets should also be regulated by the state in future, because precisely through of this central function of the blockchain, cryptocurrencies are also considered very valuable.
Unfortunately, these calls for regulation can also be used as an excuse to implement much more market regulation of a governmental nature in future under the pretext that this is the only way to offer cryptocurrencies a chance in long term. Despite all the criticism, we should never forget how adept these people are at bringing about circumstances and thereby generating the reactions they want among citizens, which, for example, make them demand measures that were planned by elitist circles anyway and are then implemented as planned "at the request of the citizens" so that these entire developments also look as democratic as possible.
Now we come to the main topic of this article, because not only masses of private investors have lost money in this bankruptcy and these embezzlements, but as it looks also the Ukrainian state or donors of the state, i.e. private and partly also institutional donors, who did not want to appear so officially on any papers. It is exactly this business model for which Ukraine used the FTX exchange, i.e. to secretly accept (so-called) "donations" from donators who wanted to remain anonymous for a good reason.
Some critics go one step further with their speculations and think the USA has also sent covert funds to Ukraine that nobody should know about. These speculations even go so far certain people say this could be money laundering, which I will neither confirm nor deny at this point, although I would not be surprised if such machinations are proven in the near future to once again expose the true face of the U.S. government and its puppet regime installed in Ukraine since 2014.
What is also certain is that this money, at least a large part of it, continued to lie on this platform or is still lying there, depending on whether this money still exists there at all or not, and that this money should have increased there in the sense of speculation in order to then continue to support warfare or humanitarian aid. As it looks, however, these plans have failed and the invested money is lost after the crash for both donors and recipients.
This is of course explosive news and it shows once again as our tax money from EU and USA is being used there, as it is being wasted and as it is now being speculated with, so that some people would say they would prefer it if this money no longer existed before it was used for warfare and by using it in this way makes taxpayers without their knowledge and against their will jointly responsible for the atrocities that are perfidiously being financed with their tax money.
Especially donators who had paid into these accounts must have been quite frustrated when they realized this money had more or less disappeared into thin air. But the question that I would ask myself there as an Ukrainian citizen would be, "To what extent is it legal for a government to get carried away with such speculation?"
But since we all know as things are down there with corruption, I hardly think anyone will ask this question, especially because it is clear to everyone the "European values" so often propagated by the media are defended there, whose real "value" we have probably all learned by now.
