Hoy quiero presentarme ante todos ustedes y contarles un poquito de mí, de mi vida y mis pasatiempos.

Today I want to introduce myself to all of you and tell you a little bit about me, my life, and my hobbies.

Vivo en Venezuela, en el estado Yaracuy, específicamente en un pequeño pueblo llamado Chivacoa, que tal vez algunos lo conozcan por su famosa montaña llamada Sorte, un monumento natural declarado Patrimonio Cultural, la cual está envuelta en un sinfín de misterios con muchos mitos y leyendas a su alrededor.

Por otro lado, hablando un poco más de mí, soy una mujer introvertida, sencilla y tranquila, en extremo hogareña; es decir, disfruto estar en mi casa casi de forma perenne. Soy ama de casa por elección y madre de un pequeño de 8 años que es la luz de mi existencia, un niño muy inteligente del cual aprendo cada día el significado de la inocencia y el amor verdadero, puro e incondicional. Si tan solo fuésemos más como los niños, aprenderíamos que la felicidad está en los gestos más sencillos del día a día.

I live in Venezuela, in the state of Yaracuy, specifically in a small town called Chivacoa, which some of you may know for its famous mountain called Sorte, a natural monument declared a Cultural Heritage, which is shrouded in endless mysteries with many myths and legends surrounding it.

On the other hand, speaking a bit more about myself, I am an introverted, simple, and calm woman, extremely home-loving; that is, I enjoy being at home almost permanently. I am a homemaker by choice and the mother of an 8-year-old boy who is the light of my existence, a very intelligent child from whom I learn every day the meaning of innocence and true, pure, and unconditional love. If only we were more like children, we would learn that happiness lies in the simplest gestures of everyday life.

Ahora bien, aunque no soy graduada por algunas circunstancias personales, estuve un tiempo estudiando Licenciatura en Ciencias de las Matemáticas en la Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA) en Barquisimeto, estado Lara. Llegué hasta el 5to semestre, y ¡sí! Puede que esté un poco loca, como pueden estar pensando, por elegir esa carrera, pero no me arrepiento en lo absoluto, porque ha sido de las mejores experiencias de mi vida, conociendo a personas especiales, con vivencias que me marcaron y cambiando totalmente la forma de ver la vida. Ya que por esa época pude acercarme más a Dios y manifestar mi fe en Él, manteniendo mis convicciones hasta el día de hoy. Y al mismo tiempo, me siento afortunada de poder conocer a las matemáticas de una forma muy diferente a la que la mayoría pueda imaginar. Una ciencia extremadamente increíble, que me dejó una eterna admiración, respetándola de corazón.

Now, although I am not a graduate due to some personal circumstances, I spent some time studying a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Sciences at the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA) in Barquisimeto, Lara state. I reached the 5th semester, and yes! You might think I’m a bit crazy for choosing that career, but I don’t regret it at all, because it has been one of the best experiences of my life, meeting special people, with experiences that marked me and completely changing the way I see life. Since that time, I was able to get closer to God and express my faith in Him, maintaining my convictions to this day. At the same time, I feel fortunate to have known mathematics in a very different way than most can imagine. A través de los años, he aprendido a vivir mi vida por medio de la lectura. Todo lo que soy, mi esencia, mis creencias y mis pensamientos han sido influenciados por todo lo que he leído y compartido en mis más de tres décadas de transitar en este viaje llamado vida.
Leer es una gran pasión que ha estado presente desde que era una niña, cuando descubrí en ese entonces que puedes viajar y experimentar tantas emociones con solo dejar fluir tu imaginación.
Si pudiera decir qué significa la lectura para mí en una sola palabra, diría que es libertad; la libertad de ser realmente como soy.
Me gusta leer cualquier tipo de contenido, siempre y cuando me llame la atención.

Over the years, I have learned to live my life through reading. Everything I am, my essence, my beliefs, and my thoughts have been influenced by everything I have read and shared in my more than three decades of journeying through this trip called life.

Reading is a great passion that has been present since I was a child when I discovered that you can travel and experience so many emotions just by letting your imagination flow.
If I could say what reading means to me in one word, I would say it is freedom; the freedom to be truly as I am.
I like to read any type of content, as long as it catches my attention.

En lo personal, me encantan las historias. Me gusta mucho leer manhwa, mangas y novelas, además de ver animes, doramas, kdramas y películas de variedad de géneros. En esto puedo ser muy extremista; un tiempo puedo ver solo de romance y después puedo ver solamente de terror (zombies, mis favoritos).

Otra de mis pasiones es la repostería, que comenzó por casualidad con un deseo de aprender a hacer algo nuevo, convirtiéndome hoy en día en la encargada de hacer las tortas en los días festivos de mi familia y algunos amigos. Y aunque no soy buena promocionándome, actualmente cuento con algunos clientes fijos y poco a poco se van añadiendo más.

Personally, I love stories. I really enjoy reading manhwa, manga, and novels, as well as watching anime, doramas, kdramas, and movies of various genres. In this, I can be very extreme; at times I can watch only romance and then I can watch only horror (zombies, my favorites).

Another of my passions is baking, which began by chance with a desire to learn something new, making me today the person in charge of making cakes on festive days for my family and some friends. And although I am not good at promoting myself, I currently have some regular customers and more are gradually being added.

Particularmente, me gusta compartir pensamientos de crecimiento personal, que nos ayuden cada día a ser mejores personas.
Estoy muy entusiasmada en formar parte de este ecosistema para adentrarme y empezar a descubrir lo que tiene para ofrecer, al mismo tiempo compartiendo mis pensamientos con cada uno de ustedes.

Agradecida enormemente con el profesor @kreuter2022 que, conjuntamente con @crisch23, me dieron a conocer este mundo lleno de posibilidades. Asimismo, me han brindado consejos y siempre están dispuestos a ayudar en todo lo que pueden. También quiero expresar mi completa gratitud a todo el equipo de facilitadores en el curso “Hive desde cero”, liderados por las profesoras @soy-loreto y @elizabeth14. Gracias por su paciencia, dedicación y los “chancletazos” con los que nos enseñan cada día.
