My simple tips of happiness

This is my first time is this community. thanks to @attentionneeded for introducing me to the community. When I saw the questions for the week, I was excited to write on number [3](https://peakd.com/hive-194848/@hive-194848/post-ideas-for-the-week-no-1).

First of all, what are core values?

Everyone has core values which they believe in. Core values are the fundamental values that directs our decisions.
I love my peace of mind and I embrace anything that gives me peace without any hesitation.

Creating happiness for myself is one thing that I have learnt over time ever since I realized that nobody can make me happy except myself.

**Here is how I have created my own world of happiness**:

Everyday I wake, I tell myself that I am going to have a beautiful day. This is an affirmation I don't joke with because just as the holy bible says:
>there is power in the tongue

Everyone is served with the same 24 hours time limit, so it is in our hands to make something out of it. whether we choose positivity or negativity, it is solely our choice to make.

I am a tv host and I love my job. I have found a way of having fun whilst working. so when the pressure associated with work comes, I just find a way to bring some really good vibes to work. For instance, when I am searching for a topic and I don't get the inspiration that I want, I switch to listening to some really good music and relax my head a bit. Before I say jack, I realize that topics just starts flowing in my head.

I am selfish when it comes to myself because I create a world for myself alone first. I believe that I need to take care of myself first before thinking of others. What this means is that, I love myself first because if I have love in my heart, I can transfer it to other people very well. this is because I already know how it feels to love. I also treat myself to some goodness. sometimes I just take myself out. I may not have enough money for an expensive treat, but whatever I can afford, I do.

One thing I have realized overtime is that I am not perfect.so I accept the fact that I can make mistakes. This has helped me overtime to be happy because whatever mistake I make, it means that I am on step closer to learning new things.
so instead of beating myself up for a mistake I made, I dust myself up and learn the lessons. I ensure not to get worried over things that I cannot handle or have control over. I have come to understand that life throws a lot of things at us. So instead of letting things worry me, I use the same energy to look for solutions to those things or if there is no solution, I move on.

I love this point you pointed out specifically because many people fail to understand that they all have their life to live and make themself happy with the little time we have because time waits for no man, and instead of trying to please others or trying to copy other people's lifestyle or way of living, we should make out our own and we should also try to please ourselves first and make good use of the time we have.

I agree with you on this. It is very wrong because that is how they will keep hurting themselves. And these people who tie their happiness to others are the ones that expect too  much too from people.
