First you need to install GnuPG for your OS and create a key. Then you need to install Mozilla's Thunderbird and install ehr Enigmail plug-in.

Now on to the fun part!

In your gpg.conf file add a section like this to the bottom:

# PGPnet

group <pgpnet@yahoogroups.com>=0x9CC6C4F03F370F7E 0x4F320C12F7CDD569 ...

This is a sample of the beginning of the group line so that you can get

an idea of what it looks like. The full line is a list of the long key

IDs for all current PGPnet subscribers.

This file called Group Line.txt on the PGPnet files page on Yahoo.

You also need to get a copy of PGPNET.asc and import the keys into your keyring.

This can be done through Enigmail.

Now down to business!

Then create a P-R rule like this:

1. "Set OpenPGP rules for": pgpnet@yahoogroups.com

2. Select "Use the following OpenPGP keys"

3. Click on "Select Key(s)..." and select the group line

that you just added in the previous step as the key. It's usually at the top of the

key list.

3. "Signing": Always

4. "Encryption": Always

5. "PGP/MIME": Never

Save this P-R rule

Now when the group line and keys are updated all you need to do is

copy/paste the new group line into your gpg.conf file and import the

updated PGPKeys.asc file.

Then you're good to go with all the current members.
