Today I Wanted to Change the Focus

<center>Today here in Brazil was a holiday: Labor Day. Throughout the country protests against the reforms announced by the government of President Michel Temer. I saw it on television. For the first time I was not accompanying protests etc. Today I wanted to change my focus. I went to the beach.</center>

**The sun was beautiful, many people on the beach in full Monday. Since many workers were out of their work, this was possible. Whole groups of families and friends gathered in the chairs and umbrellas all over the beach, people walking or running on the beach promenade**...

**Wonderful. But when I was finishing my day at the beach, I saw a strange movement on the avenue and saw that there was a protest, a political act by a group. I took my camera from the backpack and went to see what it was. It was an act organized by a right-wing political group in favor of the candidacy of a politician named Jair Bolsonaro for the presidency of Brazil. Bolsonaro is now the greatest right-wing political leader in Brazil. Many call him the "Brazilian Trump," because his political stance is equal to the real Trump, now president of the United States**.

Bolsonaro is quite controversial in his statements on social liberties and immigration. Despite his hateful speech has drawn many sympathizers, admirers and people who literally "wear his shirt."

**I hate extremism, intolerance and lack of respect for each other. The world today has a lot of intolerance, a lot of evil, a lack of charity and I believe that every positive force that goes against these negative forces that are taking over the world today is all that we need to build a society of peace with ourselves and with all those around us**.

Thanks for the peaceful beach pictures, looks like it was a good day.

Sad that there seems to be a rise in political extremism around the world... Donald Trump is just one symbol of it, but sometimes it almost seems like his rise to the Presidency has served as a "green light" for similar figures to rise in other countries. I'm with you, though... I *don't* like the intolerance and extremism.

Nice photos Jammerson! (still the coolest name ever)
It definitely is a good thing to shift ones focus once in a while. 

The left and right ideologies are a plague on the peoples minds these days... There's so much confusion as to what they even mean. 

Many capitalists have aligned themselves with the right, thinking that they are furthest from socialism. But the fascists consider capitalists inferior. At the same time, many socialists lump in everyone who is not a socialist under the fascist banner.

The individual is stuck in the middle, with very few allies...

But I will try to change my focus for a while now and think of more encouraging things. Have a great day =)
