i am sure that censorship exists here.   I have seen it with other followers.   A shame we cannot grow up and respect each others's differences.   I was hoping this might be a grown ups version of Facebook or Youtube.   Self -
 centeredness is alive and well.   I try to set a good example but folk's attitudes and behavior revert back to childhood antics. Can't human civilization be better than primitive animals.  Can't we have a higher moral compass that would lead us to respect and support each other regardless of differences.  WE ARE NOT CHILDREN AND DO NOT NEED TO BE CENSORED! When people talk about steemit being censorship resistant, what they are referring to is the storage of information in the block chain. Nothing that happens with regards to votes on steemit changes how the information is recorded on the STEEM blockchain, it only changes how things are displayed through steemit (which is a viewer for the STEEM blockchain).

Yes, downvotes can make a post invisible (on steemit), but the information is still present in its entirety on the STEEM blockchain.

It is for this reason that steemit is censorship *resistant* and not censorship proof.

There is a collective of 7 known culprits I have unmasked so far.. did anyone check the down-votes just recently?  They are trying to make it go away now!

Yes censorship by whales and dolphins does indeed exist on steemit and it's sad-  had it happen to me particularly regarding posts on pizzagate/pedogate- most likely it's pedos doing the downvoting. Downvoting should be eliminated.
