Also known as 'the cathedral of the poor', the Sagrada Familia - denomination with which from now on we will refer to this masterpiece of Universal Architecture - the culminating work and project of the brilliant Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí i Cornet, constitutes, If I may express myself, a poem where technique, imagination, fantasy and detail are the outstanding notes of a metaphorical symphony, whose imaginary eighth notes fix the sublime precepts of creation in natural models.

The passion that Gaudí felt for Nature is not, in any way, unknown, nor is his deep knowledge, based mainly on an insightful observation of its laws, of which there are always notable references, whatever they may be. the character of the innumerable buildings that constitute, without a doubt, a whole legacy of genius and fantasy.

This becomes more evident, if we pay attention to the shape of its columns, its flying buttresses, its baptistery or its dome, which simply recall the bones and joints of a human skeleton, distributed in a cross-shaped plan. –As they used to have originally, both the great majority of Romanesque churches and Gothic cathedrals- which originally represented on the plane, the highest figure of Christianity: the Crucified.

Bearing in mind all that has been commented here, you should not be surprised if to finish, I also affirm that the Sagrada Familia is not only a sublime work of Universal Architecture, but that it is a 'living' work, whose archetypes are especially designed not only to surprise, but also to motivate the spirit, to the point of being able to affirm - or at least I think so - that Gaudí, regardless of the fact that apart from being a devout Christian he could also have been a Freemason, as numerous observable details seem to indicate. In the whole of his work, that this immeasurable temple is something more than a well assembled set of stones and stained glass windows: it is an authentic metaphysical poem, where Architecture is transmuted into atanor, within which consciences are modeled.
[Teniendo constancia de todo lo que aquí se ha comentado, no deben extrañarse si para terminar, afirmo, además, que la Sagrada Familia no sólo es una obra sublime de la Arquitectura Universal, sino que es una obra ‘viva’, cuyos arquetipos están especialmente diseñados no sólo para sorprender, sino también para motivar el espíritu, hasta el punto de poder afirmar –o al menos yo así lo pienso- que Gaudí, independientemente de que aparte de devoto cristiano pudiera haber sido también masón, como parecen indicarlo numerosos detalles observables en el conjunto de su obra, de que éste inconmensurable templo, es algo más que un conjunto de piedras y vidrieras bien ensamblado: es un auténtico poema metafísico, donde la Arquitectura se transmuta en atanor, en cuyo interior se modelan conciencias].

Wow estimado amigo este post que nos compartes es un verdadero poema,  al igual que el templo es atemporal,  os felicito por la excelente narrativa,  me sentí un visitante de esos que con su continúa visita al templo de los pobres queda atónito al punto de creer que se vive un sueño distopico, como siempre las fotos son el mejor regalo que nos entregas, gracias por compartir este trabajo de simbologia tradicional,  este post me llevó en un viaje retrospectivo y también al futuro al misterio de las catedrales  de mi autor favorito : Fulcanelli,  quien decía que las piedras son un libro abierto que hablan de símbolos y arquetipos,  saludos desde el otro lado del charco,  recibe un abrazo y  mis afectos.

Puedo asegurarte, que Fulcanelli fue el culpable, entre algunos otros autores, de que hace muchos se despertara en mi interior una gran pasión, no sólo por la Arquitectura y el Arte en general, sino también por los increíbles conocimientos que se ocultan en ellas y donde, efectivamente, la piedra constituye un libro abierto que hay que aprender a leer, de la manera en que se leía antiguamente: a través de la fuerza de su simbolismo. La Sagrada Familia de Gaudí, como digo, es una obra inconmensurable, viva, que posiblemente sea el resultado final de toda una vida dedicada al estudio de las leyes naturales, que son, esencialmente, las que se puede decir que destacan en toda su obra, siendo lo más importante, quizás, el respecto hacia el entorno, en un intento temprano de hacer, por ejemplo, que Arquitectura y Entorno convivieran como dos amantes, sin herirse mutuamente. Yo, que me considero, sobre todo, persona de letras, tengo que admitir que en ciertas situaciones, una imagen vale más que mil palabras. Y en este sentido, si las imágenes y el vídeo ayudan a hacerse una ligera idea de lo expuesto en el post y de la sublime experiencia que supone visitar un lugar como éste, pues me siento doblemente contento. Considering it has been under construction for ages, It still is beautiful peace of architecture and religious faith. The structure is commendable since all the initial drawings was burnt, the people are still doing their best to complete the project.
The pictures are wonderful clearly showing the fusion of gothic and art nouveau style of architecture.

La visite hace años, pero conoces a angel y con las colas de gente que había no quiso quedarse a ver el interior, cosa que lamento hasta estos momentos y seguiré lamentándolo
Tienes razón está viva y bien se ve en sus fachada no por las grúas y las obras sino por el movimiento y el sentimiento que sentimos los cristianos y no cristianos.
Para aquellos tiempos esto ere una trasgresión a lo clásico, de la iglesia romana, jaja los cebaderos de cabeza que tendría el papa jajaj

Me imagino lo de las colas de espera, pues es un foco de atracción increíble para todos aquellos que visitan Barcelona. De hecho, cuando estuve, pude entrar por las gestiones a través de internet de mis amigos, aunque también te digo que hubiera esperado horas con tal de poder ver y sentir, porque esto es lo importante, esta auténtica maravilla. Porque es realidad, en el fondo es eso: algo vivo, algo especialmente ideado para influir en el inconsciente y liberar imaginación a raudales. Una arquitectura, que como bien dices, no sólo rompió moldes con los modelos típicos de los templos cristianos de la época, sino que introdujo en ellos, de una manera más fantástica, la naturaleza y su geometría universal, su belleza y su perfección. Gaudí no sólo fue un innovador, sino también, de alguna manera, un arquitecto visionario, capaz de obrar maravillas con los modelos universales. Pero esto es sólo la capa de un iceberg, arquitectónico y simbólico, del que se podría hablar largo y tendido. Feliz día
