La supervivencia de lo tradicional

Ha pasado cerca de un milenio, desde que los misteriosos caballeros templarios levantaran ésta enigmática ermita en lo más profundo de un cañón natural, que recibe, además, el nombre de Río Lobos, situado en esa zona fronteriza que separa Soria de Burgos.

En la ermita, dedicada a la figura de San Bartolomé, el apóstol y médico que según se cuenta evangelizó la India, se celebra todos los años, cada 24 de agosto, una hermosa romería, donde se venera y se saca en procesión a una figura muy peculiar, que goza de una gran devoción entre las gentes del lugar: la Virgen de la Salud.

Una tradición antiquísima, que además de formar un capítulo muy especial de la llamada España Mágica, goza cada vez de más popularidad entre las gentes de una España atacada por la pandemia del Covid-19.

Y es que en el fondo y más allá de la relevancia que parece que vuelven a adquirir en estos tiempos que corren, aquellas dos Españas a las que cantaba el poeta Antonio Machado, los hijos de Hesperia continúan siendo fieles a sus viejas tradiciones.

La magia del blanco y negro, que desde luego es especial para comentar estos temas. Esta romería, curiosamente, es de agosto del año pasado y como todos los años, ese entorno natural que es el Cañón del Río Lobos estaba a reventar de gente. Gente que venía no sólo de los pueblos de alrededor, sino de todas partes de España. Quién nos iba a decir, que unos meses después estaríamos todos confinados y temiendo hasta asomarnos a la ventana. Lo que demuestra que la vida sigue siendo eso: un sueño, un suspiro, una ilusión...A ver si se pasa esta pesadilla y nos acercamos a verla un fin de semana. Feliz domingo
