<center><center> --------- Hace días visité La Basílica del Voto Nacional en Quito y como ya les he contado en otros posts; le perdí el miedo a la iglesias. Ahora las disfruto, creo que tienen una belleza arquitectónica impresionante para la fotografía y para ver caminar la fe. Creo es extraordinario ver a las personas orar con tanta determinación y pasión que de alguna manera sientes esa energía que de las personas y la iglesia emanan. Hay algo místico que no logro explicar, lo cierto es que yo ahora respeto estos espacios de fe y de alguna manera me he vuelto creyente. Mi experiencia en La Basílica de Quito no podía dejar de ser una muestra del poder de dios y del hombre, por un lado dios como ser supremo y por el otro lo que hace el hombre en su honor. Amor, ingenio, arte, fe y creatividad unidos en una misma estructura. Eso fue justo lo que vi en la iglesia, cuando caminaba podía sentir todo eso. Pudo ser mi imaginación, pero luego de tanto no quiero cuestionar el poder de algo que no logro entender pero si sentir. Su primera piedra fue puesta en 1892 y culminada en 1924, ubicada en pleno centro histórico de la ciudad. Con una hermosa entrada y estilo gótico predominante, su torre hace ver a Quito pequeña aunque su altura no es tan impresionante. Son unos 115 metros de altura. Aun así la ciudad se puede ver absolutamente completa. Una de las cosas que me llamó la atención es que tiene catacumbas, la pieza central y las torres. Es decir, se requiere tiempo y algo de dinero para recorrerla completa, todo se cobra por separado. Algo que honestamente me hizo ruido, pero así son en la actualidad muchas iglesias en el mundo. Se cobra la entrada, personalmente espero usen ese ingreso para preservar una iglesia tan hermosa. En todo, vale pena visitarla. Yo volveré pues no logré ingresar a las catacumbas y el espacio central por falta de tiempo. Era un día de visitar varios lugares y ya les mostré la casa del Mariscal Sucre, así que estén atentos a mis próximos posts pues estaré mostrando mucho más. Yo sigo visitando y escribiendo. Now I enjoy them, I think they have an impressive architectural beauty for photography and to see the faith walk. I think it is extraordinary to see people praying with such determination and passion that somehow you feel that energy that emanates from the people and the church. There is something mystical that I cannot explain, the truth is that I now respect these spaces of faith and somehow I have become a believer. My experience in the Basilica of Quito could not fail to be a sample of the power of God and man, on the one hand, God as a supreme being and on the other what man does in his honor. Love, ingenuity, art, faith, and creativity united in the same structure. That was just what I saw in the church, when I was walking I could feel all that. It could have been my imagination, but after so much I don't want to question the power of something I can't understand but feel. Its first stone was laid in 1892 and completed in 1924, located in the historic center of the city. With a beautiful entrance and predominant gothic style, its tower makes Quito look small although its height is not so impressive. It is about 115 meters high.
