Вітаю вас, шановна спільното, з ДНЕМ НЕЗАЛЕЖНОСТІ УКРАЇНИ! 
Цьогоріч ця дата трагічна і велична водночас. Як говорив В’ячеслав Чорновіл: “Де б тільки в світі не билося українське серце, там є Україна”. День народження нашої Батьківщини сьогодні відзначає увесь світ, адже нині українських сердець дуже багато за кордоном.

This year, this date is tragic and majestic at the same time. As Vyacheslav Chornovil used to say: "Wherever the Ukrainian heart beats in the world, Ukraine is there." Today, the whole world celebrates the birthday of our Motherland, because nowadays there are a lot of Ukrainian hearts abroad.

Приходить на думку ще один пророчий вислів Чорновола: “Над Україною нависає зловісна двоголова тінь російського імперіалізму, який тільки й чекає остаточного колапсу нашого суспільства, щоб запустити хижі пазурі в живе тіло нашого народу”. Подумати лишень: цій цитаті 25 років! А вона актуальна, як ніколи.
>Another prophetic saying of Chornovol comes to mind: "Over Ukraine hangs the ominous two-headed shadow of Russian imperialism, which is just waiting for the final collapse of our society to launch its predatory claws into the living flesh of our people." Just think: this quote is 25 years old! And it is more relevant than ever.

Думаю, як склалася б доля нашої держави, коли б  В. Чорновіл переміг на виборах 1991 року і став президентом? Чомусь в уяві постає Польща, її стрімкий розквіт. Доля України з перших же днів незалежності переплелася б із Європою. Мабуть, не було б  такої колосальної корупції та несправедливості. 
>I wonder how the fate of our country would have turned out if V. Chornovil had won the 1991 elections and become president? For some reason, Poland appears in the imagination, its rapid prosperity. From the very first days of independence, the fate of Ukraine would be intertwined with Europe. Apparently, there would not be such colossal corruption and injustice.

Запитую у своїх батьків за кого вони голосували на перших виборах. Відповідають, що за Леоніда Кравчука. Чому так? Бо їм казали, що Чорновіл “бандерівець”! Ось воно – ядовите жало російської пропаганди. Зараз мої батьки та багато їх однолітків жалкують про свій вибір (хоча чи залежало щось від волі людей?), вони розуміють, що на той час мали залоєні мізки радянськими побрехеньками. Та часу не повернути!
>I ask my parents who they voted for in the first election. They answer that for Leonid Kravchuk. Why so? Because they were told that Chornovil is a "Banderivets"! This is the poisonous sting of russian propaganda. Now my parents and many of their peers regret their choice (although did something depend on the will of the people?), they understand that at that time their brains were filled with soviet lies. But time cannot be returned!

Той же ж  таки В’ячеслав Чорновіл говорив, що немає в нас бандерівців та москалів, східних і західних. Він наголошував, що всі ми – народ України. Щоб зрозуміти цю просту істину та усвідомити винуватця поділу та розбрату, нам знадобилося трішки більше 30 років.  Війна показала реалії. Як то кажуть, в горі розкриваються істині обличчя. Так от – ми дійсно єдині, незламні, сильні та мужні. І нехай після пів року війни знову прокидаються забуті, кимось колись насаджені думки про “западенців”, “луганчан та донеччан”, варто пам’ятати, що в єдності наша сили. А будь-який розбрат – бальзам на душу ворогам. 
>The same Vyacheslav Chornovil used to say that we don't have Banderas and muscovites, Eastern and Western. He emphasized that we are all the people of Ukraine. It took us a little over 30 years to understand this simple truth and realize the culprit behind the division and discord. The war showed the realities. As they say, the face of the truth is revealed in grief. That's right - we are really united, indomitable, strong and courageous. And let the forgotten thoughts about "Westerners", "Luhansk and Donetsk people" reawaken after half a year of war, we should remember that unity is our strength. And any discord is a balm for the soul of enemies.

Хочеться, щоб ми, українці, навіки забули географічні та ментальні поділи. Лише любов і братерство повинне панувати в кожному куточку нашої неньки України та в наших серцях.

І знову звернуся до цитат видатного сина України В’ячеслава Чорновола:  “Настав час вибору: або єдність і перемога та шлях до світла, або поразка, ганьба і знову довга дорога до волі”. Відлік розпочався 24.02.2022 року об 4:31 год. І ми обрали волю, світло, незалежність. 
>We, Ukrainians, would like to forget geographical and mental divisions forever. Only love and brotherhood should reign in every corner of our motherland of Ukraine and in our hearts.
And I will again turn to the quotes of the outstanding son of Ukraine Vyacheslav Chornovol: "The time has come to choose: either unity and victory and the path to light, or defeat, shame and again a long road to freedom." The countdown began on February 24, 2022 at 4:31 a.m. And we chose freedom, light, independence.
