Give thanks **@belemo**. Well, I bet one big difference is it's easier to hustle in Nigeria. Here, everything has gone bureaucratic, and very few people work from plying their crafts and skills. I must admit I miss the user-friendliness of the developing world, especially Cambodia, but we make the most of the place.

The languages developed here by the African slaves and their descendants contain more African roots than any other western languages. As far as I know, the majority of African-rooted languages here come from Benin and surrounding areas, so there are probably some Nigerian roots in the languages and cultures too, as Benin and Nigeria have so much shared history. !ENGAGE 15

Our little ones are growing up all too fast. The surroundings are nice here, albeit one month of abject poverty costs us the same as 4-5 months of middle class life in Cambodia. A quiet and windy shaded location is must for a hammock spot, and we have one good hammock location here, an very nice bonus. I have several more video ideas, will get work on them. !ENGAGE 25

Give thanks, there are some zinc fence jungles here, but not common. This place has a small population and a large land mass, so things are spread out much more than Jamaica, but similar surroundings indeed. Bless up! !ENGAGE 15

Funny how life repeats itself in many different circumstances. There are a handful of pics we have from here that could be easily mistaken for Cambodia. Of course the life here couldn't be more opposite to the way of life in SE Asia or East Africa, but the environment certainly looks similar at times. !ENGAGE 10

Strange you sensed that, Monkey-B and Srey-Yuu very much enjoy being on film. I edited out the part where Monkey-B wanted to tell everyone about all the rocks she feeds the parrot. Even though parrots to keep stones in their tummies to help break seeds, I didn't want to confuse anyone who thinks it bad to feed animals rocks.

The whole family is happier here, and we have space to breathe, so there will be more to come. Hopefully the girls will do a tour of the place soon. !ENGAGE 25 !wine

That is an interesting point, yeah, a small world may not be such a good thing when put into context. I agree with you, and one of the reasons we moved to a more comfortable space was due to the massive amount of time we spend at home, nearly all of it to be exact, but mostly due to economic reasons, not necessarily directly because of the rona'. !ENGAGE 40

I can't imagine living in the cold anymore, even though I once lived in the highest altitude town in North America where winter is basically year-round. It's hard to believe I was on a path to be an ice climbing guide once, but now the warm weather and cheaper cost of living are things I don't want to give up anymore. 

We make the most of what we have on our plate, and btw, I think it's so awesome your family is on Hive too. !ENGAGE 25

Oh wow from on the path to ice climbing guide to living in the beautiful tropical weather, that’s how it should be 😀 our goal too we want to live in somewhere warm. We love Hawaii but so expensive, love Cuba but it’s not realistic to live there. I once lived there with locals for two weeks ( later on found out that could risk them to be taken to jail), in that little town, they either had no food in the store, or if say frozen chicken coming in today everyone is buying crazy that day because who knows food will come next... 
I think so too it’s so cool to find a family on here like minded!! I see the way you raise your kids very much like my husband teaches my girls. And you are also a very lucky man having a wife cooks very delicious food 🤤 I wanted to try that mushroom recipe after reading her post!!!
