Our most human attribute is our ability to create wide and deep social networks

Just read Homo Deus, https://www.amazon.com/Homo-Deus-Brief-History-Tomorrow-ebook/dp/B019CGXTP0, and to summarize along the line of the most basic tenet of the blockchain, real human power behind innovation and economy is the capability to collaborate amongst a very wide network.  This is the power of the blockchain, moreso when it is decentralized and follows the rule of law in code.  Based on this, governments are fearing the unchecked popularity and use cases of the blockchain because it's network and its commensurate effects on collaboration and organization is an existential threat.  China, Russia, Japan and Korea are the early government adopters.  USA will be last since it enjoys the lead position as the reserve currency of the world, but not for much longer.  

What do governments fear most?  Loss of control on population which becomes harder when it can't hide abuses of power and corruption through slow and controlled inflation.  Experts are likely advising central power brokers the importance to undercut the growing popularity of non-government controlled cryptocurrencies through a government-created and censored blockchain.  This is dangerous.  Please be aware.
